My auto dimming mirror is leaking! The stuff that is leaking is acidic and it dropped onto my shift panel and melted the paint so I also need to know how to remove the shift knob to get it off. I dont know how to without breaking it.

At first you could actually see the liquid inside the mirror. I live in Indiana and a month ago we had below 0 temperatures thats when the mirror started acting up and since its getting warmer it just started leaking.
oh, by the way I forgot to mention that I'm a new member so I plan to have pics of my ride as soon as the weather clears. It will probably have the scuffed up type s wheels cause I'm trying to sell my rims. They were too getto for me, I plan on getting some 18'' mesh spoke wheels in the summer. Sorry to begin my my membership with a problem but thanks for the responses.
Get the mirror out of the car before it does any more damage as well. Magna Donnely (sp?) has still been replacing them for us TL guys. Some have had health related symptoms from the leaking
