my tranny hasnt failed me...but my clutch is starting to slip...i wrote Comptech b/c the charger puts down as much power as im putting down now to see if they'd had any problems with theirs, but no one has responded....i wonder if that's a good sign, or a bad sign other than that, no other apparent problems

Zootking, i dont kno if u know this, but since u have a 6MT, it will not ever fail.....Its quite impossible, unless of course u are grinding gears left and right....Manuals dont have the same problems as autos....they dont even need to be serviced....

Where'd you get that manuals don't need to be serviced??? They're serviced somewhat differently than autos.. but are serviced nonetheless...

And yes, '03 TL-S trannies have been reported to have failed by owners on the TL board (unsubstantiated of course .. as are all the reports but still food for thought).
