I just bought a JL Audio 300/4 amp, JL Audio XR 650Csi 6.5" components JL Audio XR 650CXi. A 1.5 farad capacitor.....plus they are building me sealed box and customizing the trunk based off of sketch that I drew.........It goes in thursday morning, and I'll get it back friday night. Its all gonna be wood work, no fiber or plexi glass involved. The grand total is $1700 for everything

I already have JL stuff, so I wanted to keep it uniform........but thanx for offering The 6.5 components were $350 w/tax, the rearfill speakers were $195w/tax and the amp was $450 w/tax. Why does everyone think that its so high? They are also building me a new box too, and finishing off the trunk too!

You had mentioned that it was going to look like the box on that sounddomain page, so I'm assuming you mean the first install without the fiberglass work. That is such a simple box to build. Your quote seems a little high...you should try and build it yourself. HomeDepot will cut the wood for you for free. Worse case you're out $50.

We all want to see pics---
Maevonee Let us see your system set-up and a list of components...you have told us of oyur system and them redoing it so lets see pics
NickyPass Show your pics when they get done. Not worth arguing who got the most for the money until we see the finished product

Its called AutoSound. Its on Northwest Highway in Palatine. I'm not arguing, I'm just excited to get the rest of the system done. It goes in Thursday at 9:00am and they garunteed it would be done by Friday at 6:00pm.
9am-7pm=8hrs give or take
9am-6pm=7hrs or so
There is 4 ga. power already run to my sub amp, so alot of te basic installation is done. They have to take off the door panels and rear shelf. He said he can use the factory wires to the Mids and Highs It is an adapter, not a converter........I just called and checked

I'm doing variations on my sketches. I want the Dist. block and Cap mounted on the back of the box so when you open the ski hole in the back seat.
Also.....Should I hide the cross-overs for the mids/highs?

congrats man. good luck with it.
by the way good idea of getting the stuff put in on Friday.(cause of my 2 cars i've had with Eclipse systems I've had them both put in on Fridays because then you can go out pimpin' the rest of the weekend. Plus you can wake up your neighbors on saturday or sunday morning .
but personally(this is just my thoughts) I would have swapped headunits first for the simple reason it looks more trick if you got a aftermarket headunit plus it sounds better and plus everything works better.
but anyway man your going to bump like a mo fo have fun:P

I'll get my M3........in about 1.5 to 2 years. SOOOOOOOOOO until then, the CL will have to do. Besides, I like my little $250 per month car payment. It will be paid off in 2 years, then I might get an M3 and keep the CL
#25
I'm 23.......almost 24. I can afford my CL easily now, and pay the minor bills that I have. I graduate college in 4 months then I start working full time.........=3-5X more money. We'll see.......I may want a kick ass townhouse instead of an M3. I'm getting older now :P

Its all a pipe dream........I don't want a HIGH car payment. I REALISTICALLY keep the CL for another year or two...Then nuy something so that my payments are UNDER $300 per month. I want a pimp place to live someday too!!!!!

man I'd first go after the nice house cause I know this one guy has a new vette Z06(sweet car). really he couldn't afford it but he REALLY wanted it. he had a decent house before he got this wicked car. so to afford it he sold his house and moved into (in my opinion) a trashy 'hood. So in this "hood" you see like all these beater and junk cars and his ZO6 . plus you can roll in style with the CL-S till you get enough money for the M3.and trust me that CL will last cause I got 200 grand on my Accord .(i'll probably have atleast 250 or 260 grand on her once I got to get my new car or truck)(i know they'll won't give me much for it so i'll keep it around as my beater car):P

The highest milage car that I've had was my 90' Cavalier (m beater when I had my 93 Cobra).....I bought it with 90K and I sold it with 134K.......for the same price I bought it for

Buy a house first. The tax benefits are awesome. Plus the equity from appreciation may just get you that M3 should you sell the place after a few years. I recently sold mine and made a killing with only 2.5 yrs of ownership.

My brother did the same thing......he bought a townhouse last year.........he just moved into a bigger one a couple of months ago and he made $58K in the move. His mortgage only went up $35 per month for another bedroom and 750 more sq. ft.
