Somebody got confused with a Benz, Acura, and Skyline...then mooshed it all into one...I'll give the person props for making it, but it'll never be production.

Hey Green someone actually imported a CL to Asia and moded it too look like this. I am not too crazy about the front but the rear I like..especially the wing ...it's like the m5 lip spoiler but a bit thicker. Those who don't know what I am talking about just scroll all the way down on the fist page of the link and click [2]

I agree, the hood looks like a Benz. I like the rear lip and the flared fenders.

I'm definitely not feeling that at all. The back is ok, but that's about it. The front and side skirts are and the type r badges are :ghey: They're definitely tryin too hard to make it a Benz, which it can and never will be.

It's like an old VW bus with that big "A" on it!

The back I can deal with but the rest of the car looks IMHO. I give the dude props for doing something different though. To each his own.

Thanks for putting those up, Ravi!

Now that I'm looking at it more, I see more Mitsubishi Galant/Outlander styling in that front end than anything else.

lol @ the galant

The front end looks like it comes from the SLK 2xx/3xx and the rear is from a SL/CL 5xx/6xx. Shit even the rims look Benz-esque.

That being said, I love the rear, the side skirts and the front lower bumper, just not that ridiculous top half with the hood.

wow. The front end looks like a bad version of this
the side skirt bodywork isn't even CLOSE to straight, the rear is ok minus his choice for a Remus Exhaust.

In my opinion, the suspension/wheels/brakes are the only thing that are worth looking at on this car. Maybe members of this forum could learn a bit from the top notch parts he has on his car, cuz they're definately better than the majority on this forum. As for the overpaid bodywork and the non-existant "engine performance modifications", that's a another story.

A chinese guy with too much time/money on his hands basically. Goes to show money doesn't buy taste, but it does buy expensive parts.

Well, you have to take some things into consideration here... There are a lot of young members here now purchasing the CL's failry cheaply. Just as an example, I just sold mine for $13,5 so it's not exactly a $30k car anymore. With that said, I'm certain that some of the younger folks don't have the money to purchase high-end, high-quality a/m parts for their CL (some may though) so therefore they compromise. There are also people like myself who are just plain cheap but want their car to set apart from the rest without dumping loads of cash into it. IMHO, I feel it's understandble. If I purchased the car brand new, then yes, I would put high-end, high-quality parts on it. However... I don't see the point in spending that much money on a car that already has a bunch of miles on it when you're just going to use it as a daily driver and get rid of it in a couple/few years anyway.

I know what half of you are thinking here... "you get what you pay for..." well, to an extent I agree however, that is not ALWAYS the case. It's like going to the grocery store and buying paper towles. Would you buy the most expensive kind they have? Probably not. Why? Because you're just going to wipe shit up with them and throw them away. They all work the same so what's the point?

Anyway, sorry for the ramble, just trying to say that not always buying the best thing out there is that bad of a thing.

Now back to the regularly scheduled thread...

PS: That Benz is sexy.

Take out the humongous 'A', and that 'bump' in the hood, and the front end looks much cleaner.

Like everyone else, I like the back and sides, but the front is "too much of a good thing. Hooray moderation!"
