Its so nice to have my bass back. It wasn't gone all that long....JL had it for 2 weeks....there and back.

I took my bass out for weight reduction about 2 weeks ago. I'm actually happier without it. Weird.

I dont know that I'll ever put them back in.

That's great news. Where did you purchase/install that JL Audio gear? I've been thinking about getting their amps, and getting Adire Audio's components and sub.

Nicky please give me some info on that sub and why did you go ported...I heard its louder but a bit too loud if you know what iM saying...I was thinking of going with 2 W6 DVC with a 1K amp. what do you recommend us poor folks who want more bass

I have a 450 rockford amp that was tested at 492 RMS with a 12" dvc Infinity and doesnt hit the way I want it to.
any recommendations

Looking at you sig....you have your own money tree I have my sub in a sealed box (1.3 cu. ft.) I had it in a ported box, but it was too much.

Is the bass more "accurate" and "tight" in a sealed box? I'm not looking for volume.

I like sealed better.....it sounds good with everything, and its not that boomy.

i also have a JL500. 1 amp and a JL10w7 . it thumps almost TOO loud. but its the cleanest bass i've ever heard. wayy better than my 10w6

Yeah, I was looking at the 10w7. That thing looks like it's built like a tank. I'm also considering the Adire Shiva.

I just rewired mine. hooked it up before the stock amp. sounds wayyy better now!
