It was damn muffler bearings! Damnit, I should checked that long ago!

 

 

Where the hell did you get that muffler? Don't tell me that rusted piece of metal was on your car.

it came off my 03 CL, right next to my blinker fluid recirculation tube.

 

Does Comptech make one of those?

Actually it just came out from CT, you know how they are .. they've been researching and developing it since the first 01 2nd gen CL came out. its lightweight billet, higher flow than stock. Really gets that blinker going fast. I can't seem to find the dyno charts tho.

 

Well, we all know if it's Comptech, it's gotta be faster than stock.

I think something like 10 watts TTB (to the blinker). thats dyno proven. and lighter too. maybe a tenth off my 1\4?

 

It's all ball bearings these days.

Can a real late '01 model, but not quite an '02 also potentially suffer from this catastrophic failure mode, too?

Does anyone know which blinker fluid I need to put in my 04 CL? The HID fluid or Halogen?

You need the HiPo HID Fluid. It's the only one that works.
