mattg the king of acura-cl.com is gunna host my pics here. i went like 2miles away from home to get gas. i was fucking around leaven the gas staion floored it got to about 40 or 50 mphs and hit a dip in the road.( where one side road meets the main road. that little lip is the one that did me in.) i thought my new fiberglass front bumper came off and was draggin on the ground so i pull into a new house thats beeing built drive way. no one was there. and my jack, lug wrench, cell phone where all at home had to run back to the gas station and have my brother drive that shit out to me. then when i went to the dealrship me friend thats a tech was like holy shit i didnt know a rim could brake like that. well at least i get to be the first at some thing right. all of this 3 weeks after haven the camber kit installed and alignment done. now its got to be done all over again.

You should complain to the dealership. No wheels should break like that. That's a safety issue.

i would say the impact must have been bone rattling. plus it looks like he's got 215/40-17's on those rims.

it wasnt matts car it was mine and a i went to acura and the dont cover rims for any reason unless its like a brand new tl or somethin with 2 miles on it. and yea it was a 215/40/r17 yokahama pradda spec 2 tire. because stock tires suck balls when cornering at high speeds you hear them squelling about to slide out.

Oh, I forgot to mention.
You can file a complaint with the Department of Transportation in your state. Take pictures of the dip, your wheel, and the repair costs, and there's a good chance that they will reimburse you for it.
A member on A-TL did it a while back, I believe, and he actually got a full reimbursement.
Worth a try.
Good luck.
