Well that is good information especially for those on the fence about whether to get just the sways to improve handling. The real probability of quicker shock wear and the fear of the ride being too firm (though not to me) have meant serious concern for some worried about whether or not the sways themselves would make a big enough difference without also installing springs. Believe me Mike, some folks are glad to see this post because it seems that springs alone don't stop the car from rolling too much. Therefore, for those wanting better roll control and some handling help, sways alone might be the ticket (along with better rubber). Of course the sways AND the springs offer the easiest/cheapest suspension upgrade options for the CL with the added punch that the car looks and handles way better. Coilovers are sometimes too radical and expensive an option for most.
Mike, the sways WILL take that roll away. They've made a world of difference to me and you'll love them. It's a lock.

Yes we have stock sway bars but I dont know the exact specs for them. I found this tiny scrap of info about Comptech's swats posted by Mike B over at www.comptechusa.com. "The front bar is 1-1/16" tubular and the rear is 7/8" solid. ..." I seem to remember (Astro?) or somebody saying that the stiffness of the rear bar was %-wise much greater than stock.
Is it worth the dough? Absofockinglutely! I'm a believer. After having the sways installed the car has no roll. During quick maneuvers (swift lane changes, ess's..etc,) the tail follows the front more like a true sports car does. I've way more confidence in the handling.
As for the best pricing, I've yet to see anybody beat Tim's price over at http://www.autocarparts.com
Good luck and maybe I'll catch you somewhere on Kennedy Blvd.

Is it worth getting JUST SWAYS? I want to reduce my body roll, but do not want to wear my tires out by dropping the vehicle.
Will sways make any improvement with the stock suspension/springs?

IMO, I think sways will help in handling more than springs. I noticed differance in steering right away w/ springs and how the car drove. When I got my sways on I learned immediatly what everybody ment by body roll.
Heres my reason for my mods.
Springs - To eliminate fender gap and to get more sportier aggressive look.
Headers - More power from high rpms.
Sways - Wanted better cornering abilities.
