Guys you always have the answer 2 any question i have, I am planning on driving home from Florida tonite and all of a sudden today when i was driving, i hit the brake and the power flickers in the whole car and my radio resets... I turn off the sound system with the secondary switch i have and found that the Negative power cable was loose but still touching the battery..... After i cleaned and tightened the cables it seems to be ok but does the CL have any history of electrical problems or bad altinators ????\

the neg battery cable prob just came loose for a second when you hit the brakes... it happened on my car about a week ago, because i hadn't tightened it back up after resetting the ECU...dont worry you should be just fine.

most likely the cable came loose. you should be fine. as for mileage- so many factors come in play, but rough estimate anywhere from 27mpg and up

depends on fast you drive, any stop and go traffic, hills, or how much your carrying in your car. I suggest cruising at 55-65 mph. You can expect up to 38mpg. but normally is around 27 to 34mpg

Cars will run you off the road for doing 65 on FL HW's.
At 80 with the AC on expect about 26-28mpg. I've driven the FL to NYC trip many times & this is around what I get.

No way a CL gets 38mpg unless it's strapped to a car carrier. I would say high 20s at best.

We've had reports of up to 32mpg, but those are extreme cases... definitely not the norm.

I usually get 22-23mpg (80mph) and can get 26 mpg (60-65mph) consistently on my daily commute with stop and go traffic. I've gotten higher on long trips tho'...

The old EPA estimates of 19/28 (22 combined) are achievable, but I've found that new numbers 17/26 (20 combined) are more in line with my experience:
