HUGE side view mirrors
HEy guys, im not sure if this has been brought up before, but i think that the most irrating part of this car is the big-ass side mirrors! Everytime that i turn a corner, I have to move my whole body to the side just to make sure that i do not hit anything turning. Has anybody else had this problem?

I don't think it's so much the size but the location. I think they're placed too high.

Nah I'm 6'3" and basically my head rubs against the ceiling with the seat all the way down and I still think the side mirrors are too high, or maybe it is just that they are too thick so they sit difference. But I think it makes the car look good and I love the power down on the passenger side.

I dunno, maybe it matters what car you drove before this one as to how big/small you think they are? They don't seem any larger than the mirrors on any of the other cars around here. I like them though, so what do I know.
Btw, I'm 6'1" and if I sit up my hair touches the ceiling (because it's short). I could do with another inch of headroom but it's a Jap car so it's to be expected. It doesn't normally touch so no biggie.

size, location, something is wrong
is it me or is the blind spot some how annoyingly apparent in the cl? i think the size is fine but the angle is funny. i'm 5'11" so i'm not at a weird angle for sure. also the noise from the sideview mirror and the doors being slightly sticking out is bad.
enough bitching, i love my car.

As an owner of both, I think I am “qualified” for an opinion on this subject.
2001 mirrors are TOO BIG.
2002/2003 mirrors are JUST RIGHT.
I hated the mirrors in my RED car especially when maneuvering in a tight area like a parking lot.
They block WAY too much of the forward view of a car that may be rounding the corner in front of you.
I noticed the 2003 mirrors were much better on the drive home from the dealership.
The blue tint also reduces rear glare at night.
If you plan on keeping your 2001 for a while and the price isn’t too high, I would look into an “upgrade”.
