so hears my issue...

last night my lady took the whip to the gas station and left the radio and headlights on while she pumped the gas. she said upon start, it struggled as if the battery died bcuz the radio now flashed code.

she came home and i put in the code and all was fine. mind you the radio still lit up. I took the vehicle to acura to get minor maintenance done and when i got it back i looked down to change cd's and the damned radio was black. the face still read the numbers and what not but that green light is out.

Is it just a simple fuse that may have blown?

green light on the Stock CL deck?? sorry where is this?

 

i mean, the original interior lighting that turns on with the headlights. lights that surround the vol knob and lights up the buttons...they look green to me LOL

 

so just the factory radio lights are out, but none of the other dash lights are ,

if so you more then likely need a new radio then

 

the radio still works but there are no lights

Sounds to me like a good time to do the led radio conversion !

 

yeah, everything else still lights up. The radio still works, shows what disc/station im listening too, just doesnt light up...if i need a new radio i might as well go navi...

 

LED conversion might be a possiblity...sure there's a DIY around this place somewhere

 

I dont think there is a DIY but check in the tl side

I defintly would not go back to stock if I was replacing it (too much money) unless you get it used

 

so the battery is okay?

 

might not hurt to replace it, especially if it died within like 5-10 of the headlights being on without the engine running, it is proably weak and wail fail you sometime soon


but like others have said maybe try the led conversion, but i don't think that will work, especially if all the lights inside the radio went out at once (not all the bulbs are going to burn out at once ), so yeah your best bet would proably be to just get a aftermarket deck with the navi you want so badly, and done with it
