How strong are the stock 6speed axles?
I remember back in my CRX days when I broke an axle on my 3rd run @ the track. I had relatively sticky tires (Falken Azenis), no LSD, car made 141lb-ft of torque at the wheel. Launched a little higher than usual, at 4K, and BOOM... broken axle.
So with that said, I know our cars come with an LSD (probably not in the axle's favor) but with shitty stock tires (in the axle's favor).
Anyone here broken the stock axles? I did a search and nothing came up really... guess that's a good sign, but just thought I'd ask to see what y'all got to say!

no one has.
they have been strong enough to handle 400 whp in allmotors car for months now. although i don't think he launches it hard because he can't hook up.

If you think about it, it's probably because 95% of CL owners are automatic, which shocks the drivetrain a lot less than a manual.
Allmotor's car is automatic right? Cuz if it was manual, with 400whp + LSD and slicks, I don't see how the axles would EVER hold up!

TQ > MPG
Mine has been fine with the dr's, even with some serious wheelhop. I dont launch that hard tho (mid-high 2.2 60's), but I dont recall anyone breaking the axles at the track, altho there really hasnt been any serious sc/turbo guys run their 6 speeds, other than allmotor.
