Go with the rims if you want to look right now, or brakes if your after performance. If I was in your position with the list of mods you already have I'd go with the rims.

Damn, I wanted someone to say brakes. I use to love driving my integra fast and being able to stop on a dime. I swear with this car, I almost end up rear ending people cause I feel like I am stopping the Titanic.

Well I got a bonus at work and got $1,500 to spend. Maybe I should just buy myself some gold spinners for the ride.

I'm hoping thats some sarcasm I detect.

Get brakes IMO. I would. I just noticed a little warpage on mine today after slamming on my brakes earlier in the afternoon. A BBK doesn't sound like a half bad idea. Especially since my rotors have been fixed by the dealer under warranty 3 times now. WHO THE HELL PUTS GEO METRO SIZED BRAKES ON A TUNA BOAT!!??

EDIT: Send the money to me?

I vote for the BBK. BBK provides an additional margin of safety and provides other value that can be appreciated in the driving experience. I let a friend drive my car this evening and he has a 2005 350Z that he tracks. He was very surprised how hard may car runs in both acceleration and braking. My preference is to have more "Go" than "Show". I enjoy having a sleeper but that's me.

That's about where i'm at with mine as well, the only REAL mods i have done to my car are somewhat hidden from sight. Most people see my car and think it's just a CL w/ exhaust and lowered a little, but then notice the BBK and everything else upon closer examination. Granted, i'm getting rims this weekend, but I've done mostly every performance mod i want first (minus S/C).

you have mods that make the cls faster than stock and seeing as how the stock brakes already pretty shaddy as is i would upgrade to the bbk.

option 3. Take that money to Vegas and put it on black, Then take the winnings and put it on black again. Than take the winnings and buy a supercharger. J/K If it was me i would go with the rims.

Ya, the gold spinner thing was a weak attempt at a joke. No worries, I would just get the spinner hubcaps and save my money.

I like keepin my car stock looking too, but I hate the fact that I have to upgrade brakes for around $1,500 when all my other cars stock had some good braking power.

Is there anything else I should consider, cause this will probably be the last mod to my car. There is noway I am dropping 4 grand on a S/C, as nice as it would be.

I am feelin the brakes too. Since some people have had the Rotoras on their car for awhile with the spacers. Atleast I have some confidence that there are no ill effects.

get rims...winter time is when you'll really need brakes...unless your a summer racer...remember...u can stop at least....hopefully....if your brakes were already going bad...then i say upgrade....

but thats me....

Your saying about $400 per rim isn't gonna get me anything good? Since I need new tires anyways coming up, the tires are a wash, I would either need to buy tires for my OEM rims or the new rims I buy. I figured $1500 would get me some decent 18 inch rims.... Am I crazy to assume that.

Also, I am just worried bout potholes with some low profile tires. I travel for work, and I am out here in Newark, NJ where I see G's rollin around in their Suv's with some 20's with low profile tires, but their rims look like they went through a grinder.

I don't want something that is going to turn into more of a hassle with bent rims and all.

Damn, this sucks not knowing what to do.

with the pot hole situation your short anyway u look at it....and in Newark....phew....that really sucks..i've driven around there once...and never again....

u do also have another summer favorite choice.....Audio system....get a nice booming system...for 1500 you can get a good system and still have money left over for partying..remember its a bonus...not car money...that you work for...lol

If you want a more stock appearance there's always the NSX caliper upgrade. 2 pistons as opposed to 1, upgrade your rotors to slotted, drilled, or blanks, performance pads and BAM. Better braking, cheaper, stock size, more money for future rim upgrades.

I recently purchased a brake upgrade package from iRotors that included front and rear xdrilled/slotted rotors, semi-metallic pads, and ss lines for $325. It was an eghey 'or best offer' deal.

I expect a nice performance gain in braking from this, although it's no BBK.

I vote for a BBK upgrade and use the extra cash to get better tires. Big brakes won't do much if your tires don't bite. You might be able to score some slightly used big brake kits on the black market if you look around.

Go for the Legend GS (type II) calipers, EBC Green Shit pads, and Good rich stainless lines. Major improvement.

Ya, thats what I was thinking, the NSX are overpriced cause they are for the NSX. The Legend is a better option, I could get both calipers for a buck fifty new.

I already got some slotted rotors but they seem slightly warped when I brake at high speeds on the highway. (Especially when some A-Hole is riding my ass and I gotta give him a little brake check.

But how much do the replacement brakes cost for the Rotoras and what about the rotors if they ever get warped?

Rotora = $1300 with spacers

Legend Upgrade = $150 + $200 for new front rotors + $110 for SS brakelines(these still scare me) = $460

And Acurage, I can't get any love on a sound system, I need my trunk for work and putting bodies inside.

The SS brakelines, I know the stories and that they are Dot approved. I just travel so much and have so much road debris kicking up. It freaks me out to put a part on your car that will only slightly upgrade performance but can cause serious issues.

can somebody show me where to get a BBK for under $1500? people keep saying to buy the BBK and put the extra cash towards something else, but I keep seeing the BBK costing more than $2k.

HELP! and I will put them on my own car if it is less than 1500!
