i was driving home from my g/f's house last night at about 1:30am. i was driving through this little hick town that you have to go through to get to my house. i was pokin along and suddenly a cop drives by, pulls a uturn, and pulls me over. he walks up to my window ask the usual dl, reg, ins, questions. then he asked if i knew whay i was pulled over. i replied with a big "no sir." he said my headlights were not DOT legal. i was like WTF? he said he has been pullin ricers over all week for illegal headlights (college is about to start at florida state) and i was about the 14th one he has pulled. i was kinda mad that he called me a ricer.
i tried to explain that the were not apc lights or some other pepboys trash. he did not believe me for my life. i even popped the hood and tried to show him. he was not buyin it. so now i have a fix it ticket and don't really know how to solve this problem. any suggestions?

 

well did you do anything to your headlights?

 

If your lights are DOT legal you should be able to just take in proof (box, marking on bulb, etc.) that they are and the ticket will be signed off and you'll be cleared.

 

the headlights are stock HID. i just got my neighbor that is a sheriff deputy to sign off on the ticket. so it should be ok. but i have a feeling that i will have more problems out of that cop. the cop also said that he had never heard of hid's.

Show him the owner's manual. It worked for me.

 

lol i don't have an owners manual. i have all the records stored on a dics and have an owners manual on a disc but not paper manual.

lmao. i am probably the whitest guy you will ever meet. it was in this place called woodville. a town with a bank, 3 gas stations, and a shitty grocery store. it's the type of town that the residents would marvel over the 1 traffic light in it. i will go ahead and order an owners manual when i get the 105k service done.

i have called the police on the police before. the tallahassee police department has a bunch of young officers that were picked on in school. so they take it out on everyone. i called fhp on one for reckless driving. he got pulled over but i doubt anything happened to him.
this was all over a burnt out corner lense in my 95 240sx. i was pulled over for it. they wanted to search my car, they wanted to give me a sobriety test, then on top of all this they had me pulled over for almost an hour. i saw the same cop driving wreckless the next day. so i dialed *fhp. awsome.

 

Get his badge and lodge a complaint... wait you can't.... stupidity isn't considered a crime
