How to replace the brake lines?

I got a question, how exactly do you replace the brake lines?

do you just drain all the brake fluid out and than replace the line when the system is dry?

thanks for the help

Just do it with fluid in the system and use a pan to catch the fluid. You'll have to bleed the system once you're done anyways. I would try to keep fluid in the reservoir to keep air from entering the upper part of the system (master cylinder, ABS pump). I always use line wrenches instead of standard open end wrenches so I don't strip or damage the fittings.

i kept the top off of mine reservoir and filled it as necessary, and tried never letting it get below minimum. It's good to have a friend around to help.

it's also a good time to change rotors/calipers/pads while you have everything apart. I'm waiting to get my rotors in before i do the lines
