I dont have my shop manual here, but you need to remove the airbag, unbolt the big nut holding the wheel on (probably a 19mm, its been awhile), unplug the cruise and radio buttons, and pull.

Might need to pick up a steering wheel puller, not 100% sure though. Nice looking wheel though!

Disconnect battery, wait three minutes. Air bag system should be disarmed by then. If I remember right remove screws on side area of steering wheel, it will all pull off. Remove air bag bolts and radio/cruise connectors and big nut holding on the steering wheel, it should wiggle off with some force. MAKE SURE WHEELS ARE POINTED STRAIGHT AHEAD AND NEW STEERING WHEEL IS STRAIGHT TOO! I missed this the first time and had to do it over.

this procedure is fairly simple. it can be done in like 15 mins. just don't overthink the procedure.

It must be that time of year! I just got mine today also. I'll post pics tomorrow. I got the beige prefforated leather with the burlwood. I found it on ebay last week, BNIB for a 2002-2004 MDX, $99.

These are the installations instructions for a 2001-2002 Accord which are identical to the CL. Hope this helps:

you have to swap over everything else to the new wheel too, but should not be too long of a job

for a steering wheel puller, not geneally needed on our cars, just shake the wheel back and fourth and it should come free

OP, just be extremely careful with the airbag, they can be deadly if you make a mistake with them, so as said before, disconnect the battery beforehand (makes it alot safer)

Just make sure the bolt is tight.

And I highly recommend that seller. I get all my parts from them (they're local). Theyre cool people. And if you call them you may be able to get a better deal. Talk to Chris or Rob.

It's the same as the first gen CL. I even used the 2nd CL wheel as a replacement.

Damn 50% off. That $300 price tag is the reason I haven't bought one yet.

Disconnecting the Airbag Connectors, Side Airbag Connectors, and Seat Belt Tensioner Connectors

Before removing a front airbag, side airbag or other SRS related devices (the SRS unit, the cable reel, the side impact sensors and the seat belt tensioner connector), disconnecting connectors from related devices, or removing the dashboard or the steering column, disconnect the airbag connectors or the side airbag connectors to prevent accidental deployment.

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and wait at least 3 minutes before beginning the following procedures.
Before disconnecting the SRS main harness 18P connector (A) from the SRS unit, disconnect the driver's airbag 4P connector (C), the front passenger's airbag 4P connector (D), the driver's seat belt tensioner 2P connector (G) and the front passenger's seat belt tensioner 2P connector (I).
Before disconnecting the SRS floor harness 14P connector (J) from the SRS unit, disconnect both side airbag 2P connectors (K, L).
Before disconnecting the cable reel 4P connector (B), disconnect the driver's airbag 4P connector (C).
Before disconnecting the SRS main harness 4P connector (E), disconnect the driver's seat belt tensioner 2P connector (G) and front passenger's seat belt tensioner 2P connector (I).
Disconnect the negative battery cable, and wait at least 3 minutes .

Driver's Airbag

Remove the access panel from the steering wheel, then disconnect the driver's airbag 4P connector (A) from the cable reel 4P connector (B).

Front Passenger's Airbag

Remove the glove box, then disconnect the front passenger 5 airbag 4P connector (A) from the SRS main harness 4P connector (B).

Side Airbag

Disconnect both side airbag 2P connectors (A) from the side wire harness 2P connectors (B).

Seat belt Tensioner

Disconnect both seat belt tensioner 2P connectors (A) from the side wire harness 2P connector (B).

removal DIY

Removal
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures in the before performing repairs or service.
Align the front wheels straight ahead, then remove the driver's airbag assembly from the steering wheel.

Disconnect the radio remote switch connectors (A) and cruise control switch connector (B).

Loosen the steering wheel bolt (A), and install a steering wheel puller (B) on the steering wheel (C). Free the steering wheel from the steering column shaft by turning the pressure bolt (D) of the puller. Note these items when removing the steering wheel:
Do not tap on the steering wheel or the steering column shaft when removing the steering wheel.
If you thread the puller bolts (E) into the wheel hub more than 5 threads, the bolts will hit the cable reel and damage it. To prevent this, install a pair of jam nuts 5 threads up on each puller bolt.

Remove the steering wheel puller, then remove the steering wheel bolt and steering wheel from the steering column.

Installation

[img]http://alldatapro.com/alldata/PRO~V148578629~C35676~R0~OB0~P3R0H~N/0/80851247/83216606/84820068/84820071/34853741/34864218/34864219/34864540/34850103/99807717/87717942/89178732[img]

Before installing the steering wheel, make sure the front wheels are aligned straight ahead, then center the cable reel (A). Do this by first rotating the cable reel clockwise until it stops. Then rotate it counterclockwise approximately 2 and half turns. The arrow mark (B) on the cable reel label point should point straight up.

Position the 2 tabs (A) of the turn signal canceling sleeve (B) as shown, and install the steering wheel on to the steering column shaft, making sure the steering wheel hub (C) engages the pins (D) of the cable reel and tabs of the canceling sleeve. Do not tap on the steering wheel or steering column shaft when installing the steering wheel.
Install the steering wheel bolt and tighten it to 39 Nm (4.0 kgf-cm, 29 ft. lbs.) .
Connect the radio remote switch connector and cruise control switch connector.
Install the driver's airbag and confirm that the system is operating properly.
Check the horn, radio remote switches, cruise control set/resume switches and turn signal canceling for proper operation.

Never gonna happen. I've researched this and no one on here is brave enough to be the 1st to try it, if it can even be done at all. Your going from a single stage airbag to a 2-stage one. That's just for starters.

I would recommend a steering wheel puller and it came in handy when I did my steering wheel swap. I'm pretty sure you can rent it for free from a local Auto Zone. Just pay the deposit on pick up and you get it back once you bring the part back.

That happened to me twice. Put the bolts in further. They should grab onto some material and be able to pull the wheel off.

so are you saying that hole where the 14mm bolt goes doesnt have any threads left? thats pretty fucked up.
i think u'll have to replace the steering column if its just one piece.

No, hes talking about the two holes that the puller bolts to. I had the same issue. It was annoying.

I had the same issue, just have to thread in farther, you really honestly don't even need the puller, you can just bear hug it, give it a couple of rocks back and forth and it should pop right out.
