How to remove oversized PIAAs in fogs?

Guys, any advice on how to remove these out of my lights. I just tried slowly turning it, and whatever I can do to remove them since they are falling apart, the color. Anyways, how can I get them out without the bulb falling into the assembly?! I tried one and it almost came out. Thanks.

NO, that's not the only way...simple, if it's not coming out by pulling from the unit, pull it such that the bulb comes out of its socket...then take a pair of needlenose pliars and grab the connector part of the bulb and pull...u'll have the leverage u need to take em out...only prob is u'll take the blue coating off with it

GIve it up. I am on ,my 3-4 bulbs after 26k miles. They will swell so you cant get them out without breaking after the first one hour of use. I can now change a bulb in 2=3 mins without getting dirty . One screw holds in the housing and is removed from the front

Uh if you're accessing the back of the roadlamp, you already removed the screw he's talking about.

Mebbe not..... mebbe he reached up behind!

The screw is accessed from the front grill. You can see a hole where it is accessed. Loosen it (it doesn't come all the way out) and the light pivots from the outside.

You don't have to remove anything to get the lights out. There is a whole your hand can get under the splash guard to access it. So I guess the screw is behind it to remove the whole assembly? If so, then I need to remove the splash guard to get behind it.

Got the bulbs out and put in the stock ones for now.

Any one know what bulbs would be good that won't burn or fall apart like these did? Thanks
