how often do you clean your AEM cold air intake filter
I have had my AEM CAI for more than a year. Finally decided to clean it the other day, but it was so clean! My friend who was helping me was amazed how clean it is. He has a short ram, I guess his filter gets dirty easily it is right under the hood collecting all the grease and whatnots... But we still cleaned the filter.
Just wondering, how often do you clean your AEM CAI filter?

I now drive an accord....
Just cleaned my icebox foam filter for the first time last weekend. After 25K miles it didn't appear very dirty until I applied the cleaner and sprayed it with the hose. It was a steady stream of black that came out of that thing

I only had mine for 1.5 years but I clean it every six months...propably overkill. I think the cleaning directions say once a year....don't quote me on that.

I'm about to clean mine after having it on for about 4 months. I live in the desert though so lots of dust.

I have the AEM CAI with the original filter.
Hope I didn't do anything wrong.

Why didn't you just buy an AEM cleaning kit? That's what I did. I'm 99% sure though that the K&N kit work just fine. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if AEM uses non-branded K&N filters.
