How much weight can a front seat take?
I have a friend that weighs close to 275lbs, maybe near 300. I don't want him getting in the front passenger seat and breaking something on it. And since it is a power seat, I bet they can't handle as much as the old manual-movement seats.
Anyone know?

(ps As of now I'll just force him to sit in the back or ride in the trunk if he wants to come along.

The weight shouldn't be a problem as long as he isn't your full time copilot. Just be sure to adjust the seat position BEFORE he gets in. The motors are probably at the biggest risk. But with the side bolsters, how is he going to squeeze in anyway? Don't be surprised if your SRS light turns on from the pressure on the side airbag.

Well the front driver seat was able to with stand the abuse of me and my girlfriend having sex. So if it can take the pressure of her bouncing up and down, I think it can handle your friend. I'm 195lb and she's.... hell I don't know the average girlfriend weight.

OK, that sounds like it'll be strong enough.
As long as the seat motors weren't making little "rewwn rewwn" sounds everytime she landed on your lap. Actually that would be kinda funny.

i wouldnt be worried about anything under 320 pounds...even 320, shouldnt be a problem
i have seen people that look almost 350 pounds squeez into a damn TL
just dont race a 328 with your friend in the car....and dont expect to get the tested 0-60 6.4 seconds.....on the other hand, tell him you want to test your 60-0 brake test..and post the results tomorrow
