How much should I pay for this CL-S??

It looks like I have a buyer for my Legend so now I just need to get a good deal on this Red/Black CL Type S.

2001 CL Type S with Navi 32,810 MSRP
Spoiler 734 MSRP
Wood Wheel 611 MSRP
Wood Dash Kit 127 MSRP
Comptech Lowering Springs 700 MSRP
TOTAL 34,982 MSRP

Now how much should I really pay......

I say about $31000 should be very good, make sure you get mud guards and sunroof visor. I get this number if the following manner:
28127 base CLS
+ 1800 for navi
73 for wood kit
500 for spoiler
500 for the steering wheel and other stuff.

Also, I saw your post wondering what color to get and I would recommend going with your first choice of red w/black because while silver is an easy upkeep, red looks much much better, however cops are more likely to see a red car than silver. Also, silver is just somewhat plain. Good luck with your negotiations.

Tint 15%, Polarqs M6s, Things to come: sub, air kit (if exists), maybe headers, CAI, and spring/sway combo.

comptech springs are $329 ... you can get an eibach pro-kit for $189 if you look hard. you can get a factory spoiler for $400 something from ahmotor, $279 for a look alike that i think is better. no advice from me on the wood stuff or the navi, i dont have either, and i dont care for them either

CL-S with navi invoice: 29,470
Destination: 480
Profit: 400
Comptech springs: 450 installed
Wood wheel: 350
Wood dash: 75
Spoiler: 400
Total: 31625

It's always hard to figure out true invoice when you add accessories, but figuring a 50% markup on the accessories invoice is probably about $30,550. Therefore, $31K is probably doable but you're probably getting the car as cheap as anyone possibly could. $500 profit ain't much and I've found that dealers will try to make the transaction as unpleasant as possible when you nickel & dime them that bad.

just my .02

Try $30,000 first, if not, then the maximum is $31000.

check carsdirect.com and bring a printout to the dealer for the max you will pay for the car (about $700 over invoice, i think).

call the service department and pretend you already have a type s and ask how much the accessories you want are. again use this as an absolute max you'll pay for the accessories. the salesman will try to charge you much more but don't pay it.

After visiting internet to be equipped with all the cost information, I visited three dealers and got mine $600 over invoice. The trick is to deal over invoice NOT sticker price.
Good luck to you.
