Anyone know how much our engine is new, out of crate?

 

Complete engine? I would not be amazed if it would at least in $5,000-$6,000 range...

Some member drove through water and hydrolocked his motor... I think he said it was 8k to get replaced.

You could probably search for 'hydrolock' and find the post. I can't get the search function to work right now...

 

The Lexus LS400 engine is around $18k for a replacement on a recent model.

Good god. I almost fainted when I heard that. That's a lot of cake for just the go-go part =)
