Unfortunately, more than you'll get for it.

I would ask 23K and settle for anything over 22K.

G'luck!

If you're looking for a quick sale... $19,800 would be a very good asking point. That'll get rid of it A.S.A.P. Probably by me. LOL

Not a dollar less than $25,000

It's only slightly undervalued at Edmunds.

With the prices they have going for lately, there is no way in hell you will see anything close to 25k.
If you can get 22k, take it.

25K is gonna make for a long time on the market. For a quicker sale, you'll have to price it alot lower then that... Maybe 21-22...

If I could get 25K for mine, I'd be driving something else now... I bought my 6spd new for $29.5K 2 1/2 years ago, and there is no way a discontinued coupe has lost only $4.5K in 2 1/2 years.

Heck, If I could get 22K for mine, I might be in the market for a new car...

well I don't know if your talking to me or not but I want to get a 330I or g35. I would trade for one too. I just am not a huge fan of front wheel drive 6speed and I found that out after I bought the acura. If it was real wheel drive I wouldn't even consider selling it!!
I know I couldn't get 25. I think I would let it go for 23k and thats a fair price if you ask me.

FYI: I purchased my CL-S6 with 32k miles on it for $20,000 just last week. Great shape, just needs new tires. Oh and it is far from stock too.

NADA trade in on a CL-S6 w/Navi and 41k miles is just over $19k. Dealer retail is a little over $22k.

Problem is that the Black Book or NADA isn't gonna email me to buy my car. A relatively niche population is looking for a CL-S 6 speed.

well does it have navi, acura certified, and 62k mile factory bumper to bumper warrenty? There is a 10k mile diff too. Most people want a car with 30k or less. I said $23k but there would be some room to negotiate.

With 120k miles, an 01 automatic? I'd sell it in a minute for $22,500.

I know what they mean on the Legend Coupes, everywhere I went people would come up and ask about the car- and some offers to buy it. ( it was just an automatic and gold color too). Traded it in to the dealer for $9500 I think, it was 8 years old, a 95.
no one hardly ever asks about my CLS except maybe other CL drivers, but maybe if I keep it long enough more people wil lfind out about the 6MT CLS.

I did put my white CLS on autotrader and ebay, but sold it locally. No responses from autotrader ad, ebay got a few people interested.
The Legends I traded into the dealer.

jipper,

1st of all its 12MONTHS or 62K which ever comes 1st, with the certified CLS, u must of just bought it last year.

Based on that assumption, your going to take a large hit.

My local dealer ( largest acura in the US) is selling a 03 CLS/navi certified 23000miles.

I could probably walk in there and get it for well under 20K.

Ok granted yours is a 6speed, but in the appraisal world you take away $900 for it been a manual.

The values are just not there anymore for any CLS. its really a crappy deal all around.

Your asking price should be 21K and see what offers you get. Yeah i know but thats how it is with this car.

Well i bought it about 4 months ago. So you still have a good bit of bumper to bumper warrenty.

If you are talking about tim smith acura they wouldn't even get close to edmunds quote when they had one for sale

Dealers hold them real high in value, I know you don't get as much as a dealer but I very highly doubt you could get that cls for under 20K!

Also the automatic has trans problems and therefor makes the 6 speed worth more.

The car is a GREAT car I am just not a fan of front wheel drive 6 speed. All in all I think you are a little off on value.

Otherwise, $20k - $22k is fine.

Funny part to trading or selling CLS to anyone but Acura dealer is that MOST ppl aren't aware of our tranny issue. Meaning, what F900 said about taking $900 is relatively true most of times. Couple of weeks ago, I saw 2003 black/parchment, 6mt, Navi with 25000 miles asking $21k. And this was at Lincoln used car dealer. Granted, yours is acura certified but you only have 8 months left on that extended warranty which I don't think it's worth the difference of what? 1000 bucks? Plus urs have more mileage. Yes, it's hard to compare prices in cars but you have to be somewhat reasonable with what ppl are asking for your car these days. I'm sorry, but if I were in a market for 6mt which I frequently check for good deal, I certainly wouldn't pay $22k for yours with that much mileage. Personally, somewhere around $20k would get me interesetd. My two cents

Yeah that is both good and bad, its good cuz they know the 6 speed is more reliable than the auto, but they also know how poorly the resale is, so why would they pay more than that? Alsi, i think the whole deal with the CL becoming in demand in a few years is wishful thinking at best, not many wanted them new, even few will want them down the road. But hey, I have had mine 5 yrs this month, so I obviously like it. I would want 23k for that car, but realisitically accept 21k.

I don't think I could get more then 19-20K (private sale) for my CLS 6spd w/ 35K miles.... and probably only 17-18K from a dealer, so I'll keep mine...

Only to the right buyer. The vast majority of the general public wants an automatic transmission. I believe less than 10% of cars sold today have manual transmissions. On trade in a 6-speed will get you LESS than an automatic of equal mileage, age, condition, etc. PERIOD. However, if you find the right buyer through a private sale I believe the opposite would be true.

yea but the people here or some that do any research would find that the 6speed is the smart way to go if you want a cls.

I agree, I wouldn't trade it in. The dealers wouldn't want to give you but 17 or 18.

I was really seeing what people here thought it was worth and if anyone was interested in it. I would rather sell it to someone on here than just anyone.

I figure I will put it on autotrader for 22k.

we'll see how it goes

Good luck.

Be prepared for tons of "scam" emails from "potential buyers." My car has been on autotrader for a while with nothing but scam offers.
