How Much is a 2001 CL Type S Worth in Private Market...?
Well, I'm getting closer to selling the CL-S and buying an SUV/CUV...I'm just curious on pricepoint and would really appreciate some input from the members here!
I am the original owner of a satin silver 2001 Type S. It has 135,000K km on it and is on a recently replaced tranny. The car would be rated as in excellent shape and has the Versus polyeurethane bodykit (you can click on My Garage to see it) as well as the OEM spoiler...
Any recommended amounts on how much I should ask for it...? Thanks!

So, I guess asking $10,500 is too much...

I would guess $7-$8 K for a 2001..
If you can get over $7k be happy cars lost alot of re-sale value cuz the tranny.
Do u heve recipts and stuff to show the buyer the tranny was changed?

Did u get a warrenty w/your tranny/?
If so is it transferable?
If it is make sure you note that in the comments wherever u r selling it.
If it was in GREAT shape and a tranny warrenty then u might get $8K!

Yep...
I've got 85000 miles on my 03 6spd, and I probably wouldn't expect to get over $10K US for it in a private sale... That's one reason why I expect to have my CL for a while longer.
I never thought about it before, but isn't there some kind of KBB or NADA price guides for Canada ??

You can ask for whatever you want, but don't expect to get much more than $8K. Unless you find someone who is in desperate need of that kit already being installed, it wouldn't go for much more than $8 stock.
In any event good luck! I own mine, and am going to keep it. I paid $30K new, and she is still a good daily car. Acura recalls/warranty svc kept me from ever having the horror stories I keep hearing about, with the tranny and such.

I am selling my 01 CL-S with 103,000 for $6500 in the Los Angeles area. No nav and needs new tires. It also has a few door dings, and a visible scratch on the front bumper. It has a new transmission.
I have had it up on various sites for 3 weeks and had one person look at it, he offered me $5500. I do have 2 people looking at it this week.
The market is really soft for used cars. You also have to take into consideration that it is really a nitch market car with transmission problems, so resell value is awful.
Having said all that, and seeing weak demand for the car I am on the fence of doing the 105,000 service and putting tires on it. I figure i could drive it for 2 to 3 more years. I guess resale value at that time would be around $3500. Any thoughts/suggestions?
