How many years are you going to keep your CL?

I see a bunch of you jumping ship, but what about the few that still have theirs? How long are you going to keep your CL?

Im going to keep mine for a couple of years to wait and see if another "CL" type car comes out from Acura.

Voted 2-5 Years, but if I pay it off before the end of 2007 I may keep it and then add the Nissan GTR when it gets released.

I voted 2-5, but I've already have had mine for 3 1/2 years...

Not sure if the poll was for total years, or additional years...

Only have 45K miles on my 6spd, and it's paid off, so it doesn't make much sense to get rid of it any time soon, especially since the bulk of the depreciation curve is behind me now.

I should have mine for a couple more years, unless I get really bored with it, or unless someone makes a vehicle that really excites me

Maybe 2-3 more years. The forums here seems dead lately, I guess a lot of people HAVE jumped ship due to the tranny.

Edit: Maybe after the release of the RonJon kit, it'll come alive again

Already been there with an 04TL/NAVI/5AT! Although there are definitely some things about it I miss (voice activated nav, stereo, plusher and techy interior, "new age" body, etc.), the CLS is very near the same car in handling, performance, and most other things. In fact, when I bought the CLS I thought for a moment "Damn, I could have just gotten the CLS with NAVI instead of the TL and saved thousands!" Not quite the same car, yet not so different. Anyways, I have 78K now and plan to keep it until it dies, I am young and a house is more important than upgrading for a similar product while upping insurance and payment. Keep it, mod and show pictures, and maybe look towards Acura's '08 lineup

I voted for until it dies, which was my original plan when I bought it on 03. However recently my views have changed and I think I might sell it and buy some decent used car. I love the car, but I would love the have the cash out of it more. Its almost paid for so I could get a decent amount out of it

You should have put a choice for those os us that will keep the AT for awhile but then trade it for a 6MT. That would have been my choice. Unless an M3 steals my heart first.

If I don't buy one of the 2, I should be for my own stupidity... That is, unless something WAY better comes along between now and then.

Ive only had my 6 speed for 7 months now and I'll be paying it off for a few more years. 70K and going strong. Definitely no reason to get rid off it, plus in about 2-3 weeks its gonna look amazing.
I'll be on acurazine for a long time.

At the rate I'm going, I'll have mine forever. Only 14k miles in three years. Plus, it's pretty cool to have one of 3,511.

I have no intention of getting rid of my 6speed CL-S: comptech header,e,catback, sways, springs w polly urothane bushings all round; Aem pullys, intake; unorthodox crank pully; thermoblock; Tokico illuminas 5 way adjustable.motegi lite 17X8
wheels; Sun systems ground and hypervoltage: handles great. I am entertaining a turbo maybe for later. for now I am having lots of fun driving. Will be in Florida soon just built a home there. Getting away from snow and cold in MI.

Second set of Comptech springs are not showing any rust problems at this time. I have 20000miles on these springs.

Where is the ground?

I voted "till it dies". But what I mean is probably till I die in it.

This is my dreamboat. The car I always wanted.

My 1995 Honda Odyssey was totalled by my son October 2005 with 330,706 miles on it . A couple of months before it was totalled a friend said, "I believe in driving cars into the ground too."

My response was, "Where is the ground?" If you keep repairing the car it will keep going. In ten years I spent $46,000 on the car (the car itself, loand interest and maintenance and parts) not including gasoline and insurance.

My point is there is no reason that my 2003 CL Type S 6MT will not last as long as me. I'm ok with that.

Probably another 4-5 years...but, now that I've sold my life for a house, I could conceivably keep the CL-S until it's bumper and wheels fall off...

Forever, even when I do buy another Acura, I will save the CL, I love it more and more each time I drive it. The new kit and constant new wheels will keep it new and fresh. 42k right now on this 2001 with navi, insterior is fresh and exterior is about to get a complete makeover. It will be back to brand new condition! I tell you, the CL is a timeless machine when modded, especially the interior.

Well guess what pplz? My mom finally cracked from me begging her to give me back my CL and it's finally coming back to me Even though it's not a 6spd or a Type-S I still love my CL a lot because it's an awesome car to begin with and not only that the tranny is still running strong even through the worst things that happened to it in the past. So far my car has gain 10,xxx miles extra on it because of my mom driving it so far to her job but now it's gonna slow down and I'm hoping to pick up Ron Jon's car one of these days in the future and just keep it stylish.

Until it dies, gets totalled or stollen....just at about 70k. I will probably just get another car when this one is paid off....maybe an used S2000 or an older NSX...my roommate has a 6sp TL and I still like driving my CL
