1. 56 in a 25, which was lowered by the judge to a 40 in a 25
2. 81 in a 65, which I didn't fight

Both were in my spare car (93 sentra)

Plus more warnings than I can count from the tint on my first car(cavalier)

I had my license revoked for 30 days when I was 17 for 3 in a year...since then, I've probably paid for 3 more, then I've successfully fought 7 out of my last 8.

Fun question to answer. For me -- four moving violations. All before the age of 25. That makes none in the last 12 - 13 years. I've also had one parking ticket (expired meter) and one fix-it ticket (no front license plate in LA).

#1 -- 17 years old, Culver City, CA (Los Angeles suburb). I'm making a right turn on red in a residential area that I've done a thousand times before near a friend's house. I get pulled over. The cop informs me that I did make a complete stop, but now there is a sign that says no right turn on red. The sign was put that morning and of course, I didn't notice it. The asshole gives me a ticket and I go to traffic school.

#2 -- 19 years old, somewhere on I-10 in LA. Pulled over for doing 65 in 55 zone (I'm in #3 lane). Everyone else was probably doing 75 or 80 and I get pulled over. Traffic school.

#3 -- 22 years old, somewhere in buttfuck, Iowa. I own a Red sporty Subaru at this time. Pulled over for 60 in 50 zone. The cop says this ticket will cost you $30. I almost laugh in his face. I later pay; I didn't have time to go to court and no traffic school in Iowa (at the time). No hit in insurance -- it's Iowa afterall.

#4 -- 23 years old, somewhere in buttfuck, Iowa. Same Red car. Accelerating out of some one-lane town, speed limit is 35, then 45, and I see 55 MPH sign a 100 feet ahead. I start speeding up and get pulled over for 55 in 45 zone. The local sheriff is waiting in a used car lot at the end of town! Good one. I fight in local magistrate court, tell judge that this is obvious entrapment and that this is obviously a way the town uses to generate revenue. Ticket dropped in price to $15, no points. I pay, no insurance hit.

That's all...

4 speeding tickets:
- 57 in a 30 (fought it, lost) - TLS
- 47 in a 30 - Galant
- 45 in a 30 - Galant
- 73 in a 65 (fought it, beat it) - Galant

Been pulled over for a few other things but either got a verbal or written warning:
- running a red (was actually yellow and raining so I didn't want to slam on the brakes)
- rolling stop
- speeding (twice)
- running a red (perpendicular light changed but my light didn't change for like 3 minutes so I looked both ways and went. Guy behind me went also and the cop pulled us both over. Both gave the same story so he let us go)
- not yielding for pedestrian (bullshit trap. Pulled like 5 people over even though no one was crossing)
- Going straight in a right turn only lane

A few parking violations. Towed once.

I had 29 points on my license at one time & ended up losing it for a few years from dui. 7 suspensions(from 2-6 months each) also.

I was a class A fuck up & this was all before 25. It's hard to beat that...

14.... all for speeding except for one failure to stop at a stop sign.

Oh well.

I'm an example of how instant on radar and lidar will get you every time, radar detector or not.

For some reason, cops with laser guns are drawn to my car.

5 of the 13 speeding tickets were issued with LIDAR. Bastards, that takes all the fun out of the game.

I've been pretty lucky... I got 1 speeding ticket about 5 years ago when i was in high school. This damn cop was just waiting for us coming out of the school parking lot.... 56 in a 30.

I got pulled over a month or 2 ago for doing 55 in a 40, but got off with a warning.

In the past fifteen years I would say about a dozen tickets. I've never had a ticket for anything else besides speeding. So I've been pulled over about 30 times (lots of warnings, etc) and ended up with tickets about 10 or 12 times. My most notable are:

1986: 120 in a 55: From Houston to San Antonio; $229; dismissed with traffic school.

1992: 75 in a 55: My first VASCAR ticket, in Wisconsin, I was shocked that I got caught and my trusty radar never made a sound. Dismissed cop never showed to court.

1993: 80 in a 55: My first Airplane ticket, in Wisconsin. They made me pay with a credit card on the spot. Amended to 56 in a 55 in court.

3 tickets in Kansas City already in the past 4 years. In 2 of them in Leawood and Overland Park, double down and dismissed.

Lots of speeding tickets in Minnesota in St Louis Park, Minnetonka, Edina, and Eden Prairie. Everything from pacing to radar to trip lines across the roadway.

1.- rental sonata - 80 on a 55. Plead no contest. Just court fees. 0 points. No traffic school.

2.- rental protege - 93 on a 65 & incorrect lane change (trying to avoid the cop). Drunk. Passed the sobriety test (physical). Cop wrote 1 ticket and 1 warning (he believed me i was running out of gas - which was also true). BS. Dismissed on court. 0 points. No traffic school.

3.- rental protege - 80 on a 65. Plead no contest. Just court fees. 0 points. No traffic school.

rentals are evil.

i got 2 tickets, both for speeding. First one i went to traffic school and got cleared, second i got recently for going 61 in a 40 zone, which i don't think is right. I coulda sworn i was going 50-55 max. Does anybody know of any good ways to fight it? Or anything that will keep my insurnace from going up? I heard if you beg for traffic school you might be able to get it again. if my insurance goes up i am in deep shit

It seems to me that many of you are just plain bad drivers.
I have been driving for over 25yrs & have only had 4 speeding tickets the entire time I have been drivng. I also have had about 5 parking tickets in this time also.
I got one in 1978 with my sisters sunbird & I swear I was not speeding radar mix up with anoter car. I went to traffic school & got highest score on test in class that week of over 125 people.
I drove my 1980 PRELUDE for 10yrs almost everyday without one & did not get another speeding ticket until 1992 with my 90 Accord running behind unmark poilce car. I got the next one in 1998 with my 94 Accord running with a marked police car. The next one I got in 2001 with my 2000TL .

My Turn:

Parking tickets:
1) Montreal: Parking next to Handicapped parking meter, I put coins in the meter , but I never knew that there is one for Handicapped people (it was a short meter )
2) Montreal: Leaving the car Parked at time that is not allowed anymore .. I never loked at the sign post and my watch.

Non Moving tickets:
1) Failing to inspect the 3 weeks old CLS within 10 days. I had 30 days cause the car is new. It was dissmised after 90 days of no new infractions.

Speeding tickets:
1) Littleton, NH: driving my leased Chevy Cavlier, I cleared the hill, I was pulled over by cop, He just pointed to my car to pull over. His patrol car was parked below te shadow of the overpass. He claimed I was doing 85 in a 65. He wrote it down to 74. I pleaded no contest and paid via CC over the phone some $75.

2) Plattsburg, NY: In my Chevy Cavalier, I was coming to meet my mon in the mall, after we were unloaded from the ferry. I was in line of cars... once I cleared a small hill, the cars in the front just breaked hard, I changed lane and kept the same speed. After 2-3 lights I was pulled over. The cop claimed I was doing 55 in 35 way back. My car was the wrong car for sure. I drove from Nashua to Plattsburg to fight it, the cop did not show and the judge said she sent me a letter to postponed the court date. I recieved nothing in the mail. The judge asked me to accept to reduce the fee from $220 to $110 and pay it. I paid it and left.

By the way driving 20+ over the speed limit in NY will result in suspension of driving license by the officer on the spot and with no court!. Totally rediculous!
