How many miles will the stock shock last for with aftermarket springs?

like H&R sports, CT, ETC??
The car's 2001 CL-S with about 30000 miles on it and I'm wondering if I should first go for springs only. (I'd only go about 6000 miles a year or maybe a little more, so if I'd be getting 3 - 40000 miles after replacing the stock springs with aftermarket springs, I'd assume I'd be fine)
Thanks!

There's no way to tell for sure. To be honest, even brand new oem shocks do not properly dampen aftermarket springs. You will probably feel a few extra hops on rebound but maybe not enough to notice. The only time you will notice it is the first day your springs are on but you get used to it.

But personally, a few hundred bucks on aftermarket shocks is a huge handling improvement. Most people drop for cosmetic reasons (I did) but you aren't unleashing the power of your performance springs unless you put shocks in.

I'm very happy with Tokico Illumina with my Comptechs.

My OEM shocks started to degrade about 2K miles after installing the CT springs. I upgraded to koni yellows since then.

I have CT springs on mine with factory shocks on my 01 CLS and I'm at 68k.. So I'd say you're fine for awhile...
