Not trying to be mean or anything but is it an older person? In Florida (Heavens waiting room) I see a lot of those type of bumper gaurds on older people's car.

You would think somebody with a $30,000 car would know better. God damn 640 by 480 rule... can't there just be a file size limitation?

I DISAGREE!!!

If you live in New York city, and you see how people park in that place, you will very quickly understand the reason. In fact, you will see bumper stickers on a lot of cars in new york city.
when people park in new york, they touch each other's bumpers, its considered to be "normal" to bump a car in front or in the back when doing parallel parking. Almost every driver who parks in new york city knows what I am talking about !!!!
But yes, if you live in place like Taxes, you dont need it ....

Yep, I can see that a lot of you haven't spent too much time in NYC. Every other car here has those, and for good reason too!

(mine don't) :P

If I lived in NYC I wouldn't drive a car like the CL around in the city... I'd get a beater. Since I can't afford two cars, I'd be in something alot cheaper. Like a Monte Carlo.... Its the only el cheapo two door I can think of right now...

Yes, I agree those thingies on the front and rear bumper make CL look ugly.
But in new york, bussy areas like Manhatan or something like that, when people do parallel parking they almost always bump each other. Its like normal. Just observe how people park in NYC, you will see that almost EVERY time you see someone doing parallel parking this person will give moderate bump in front or in the back bumper.
Cars like CLS have no place in the city, its gonna get millions of scratches in a matter of minutes !!!

btw, i live in NJ, and its not my car
If I were to live in NYC, there is no way I would buy CLS

I don't get it.... The way he has them installed won't even protect the car from the most common NYC parallel parking scratches.

(The one where the license plate screws from the other car gouge the center of the rear bumper.)

No wonder we can't get anything we're looking for in the after market. Idiots buy stuff like that, and "business men" say, gonna clean up!

I understand... my point is i wouldnever get a car like the CL if I had to park in NYC. Only an idiot would do that. Maybe I'd get a Countour oy Mystique... who knows, definatly not a CL-S.
