How low is too low?
How low is too low?
I live in the New York area where there are all sorts of potholes on just about every road I drive on. I am interested in lowering my 2001 CL and I was just seeking for some advice on how much I should drop it. I am afraid of going too low that I will bottom out and I am afraid of going too high that it looks stupid. Any advice
I am also planning on getting 18" rims, so i am not really sureif that will affect itas well.

I'm in NY as well and I currently have 18" rims/tires with the H&R Sport drop (abuot 1.75") and I haven't had any problems with bottoming out etc. There are some pics on my personal site (in the sig) if you're interested in seeing my setup

if you have the newer comptech springs (black, aka eibach's) then probably do need a camber kit since they dicked us over and switched their springs for eibach's which have a lower drop height, much lower actually .. from 1.25 front\1.00 rear to 2.0 front\1.7 rear.

if you want to pay 90 dollars more for the same springs and lose about 8 years of the 10 year warranty.
