Mine came with double sided tape.

If yours didn't, 3M General Trim Adhesive would do the trick.

Anyone install the sills on the painted outside lip of the frame instead of on the raised plastic sill? Seems like it would apply better and be less damage prone there.
I have not applied mine yet since they seem like they will be easily damaged, they bend real easy, have sharp edges.
They look good but quality is not as good IMO.

Thats exactly where I installed mine. There is a little lip that they will slide under so the top is under the lip and the double sided sticky tape holds it in place well. (mine came with a bunch of strips of Double sided tape already on them). I cleaned the paint on the frame with alcohol, then stuck them down.

I figure that especially with my 2 1/2 year old getting in and out, he will step on the plastic sill.....if I put the sills on the plastic, he would be stepping on them constantly and damage them. Putting them on the outside of the plastic makes it look good, yet, no one should be stepping on them.

I don't know about anyone elses, but mine had some scratches on them out of the box (one has a bunch of small scratches on one side and a few bigger scratches in other places)...the were covered in plastic bubble wrap, so the scratches had to have happened before shipment. I agree that for the price, the quality is a bit shoddy, but once they are in place, they look good.

Got mine today

They came with the 3M tape on them, so thats how I plan to install them. My question is what did you guys use to prep the plastic sill? Is alcohol strong enough?

got mine today and they look like SHEEEAAAAAAAT! I went for chrome and they have scratches all over them that were obviously there when pkg'd since the shipper put bubble wrap all over them. God this kinda shit pisses me off.

Got mine yesterday. After inspecting them there's not a scratch on them. I'm putting mine on this weekend.

If you have ever put armor all on your plastic, alcohol won't get it off and the 3M tape won't stick. I couldn't find anything to get it off, I had to put mine on with some kind of household cement that I had laying around. Seemed to work alright, although the damn things dented a little when I was pressing it down. Wouldn't have hurt to make them a little thicker...overall not bad for 62 bucks though.

I have never put anything on the sills, but I can blame the dealer. The dealer put glossy stuff on the plastic thoughout the car. Don't get me started on the windows they have something on them, because no matter what I use to clean them all I get is smears.

If I don't have better luck with them tomarrow I will try contact cement or some sort of special glue
