geez guys, give him a break, carbon fiber hoods dont look that bad, listen bro if you want to know how to install it just open your hood and see what is holding it on... It's probably like 6 bolts or something. Don't listen to what any of these fags say they are just hating b/c your doing something different

not hard at all. Unbolt 4 bolts. Have help pulling old one off. Put cf one on and use bolts that came with the hood just go and get some washers. Close carefully and you are done.

Oh and it's much much lighter than the stock one..

And hope you like yours just like I love mine...

Who makes your trunk/hood? How much weight savings is it about? Thanks.

Well it sounds like you need to take a trip to the dealer and purchase everything you need to bolt up the stock hood. Like brackets, bolts washers, wiper fluid nozzles & hoses, etc. The cf hood is meant to fit just as a stock one would. Unless it came with special hardware/gaskets. You could also buy online as well. Take pics when your done...

I paid $1100 shipped outside of ebay for both. I called the company and asked them what they can do price wise and they knocked off $100 because no ebay fees and so on..

And if you get VIS or any one of them in that matter, they come bolted to a piece of wood where the hinges are supposed to go. Unbolt the bolts, pull the wood off, get some washers that fit the bolts put the hood on the car with the washers and you are set...

There is a very good possibility that the stock screws WILL NOT fit into the screw holes on the CF hood. Mine didnt.

But what do I know, I only bought a VIS cf hood and installed it in my car.

damn well. No hood pins in it and I check the latch every week to see if there are any signs of cracks or anything. I'm going to fiberglass the hell out of the other side of the latch soon enough as well as a bit on the underside for extra protection.

So when are you putting the hood on? Make sure you take pics of all the edges so we can see how it fits. Groves next to fenders, around grille, and windshield wiper cowl area etc. Thanks i've been considering this for a while.

The hood looks good, looks like a nice fit from that pic. So you didn't have any problems installing it? Nice. I think you need to give us a better view of the fogs. What are you planning for the grille area? I hope you don't do hood locks/pins they ruin the cleanliness of the hood and front end. Overall car looks nice didn't think carbon would look so nice with smr.
Please post more pics of hood, and fog lights. (close-ups)
