how important is a oil filter ?

Hi just wanted to know how important a oil filter is. I have been using synthenic oil but I have been using the oem honda oil filters. I think the honda oil filter is made for regular oi, so does it make any idfferences or should i switch to another aftermaket brand like fram or mobil 1

thanks

very very very very important! I'd suggest doing a search on "oil filters". The following filters are among the best:

Mobil 1
Amsoil
Puralator

Honda filter is very basic filter, I'd strongly recommend using Mobil 1 filter. Its ~$12, but its worth it, especially if you like to go for extended oil drain interval.
