how the hell do some of yall drive the Z everyday

I took my dads Z out for the day and initally it was good drive. the power, the sound of the engine, makes you feel all good inside. but after the 2nd hour the car gets really annoying! the seats in the damn thing is the most uncomfortable thing in the entire world. the seatbelt digs into my neck the steering wheel position is annoying even after adjusting it 4 times.

got back into my cl-s before dinner and damn the moment i sat in it and drove it for a few miles it felt like i went to a day spa. the cl-s roomy cabin, made me feel like i could breathe again and the seats felt so theraputic my back was hurting like hell in the z!

the z is a hot car with a nice engine but damn i never want to get back into that thing because its soooo uncomfortable as hell!!!!

im glad my dad has decided to trade it in for something new...

some things i noticed when i rode in a 350z ~

the inside is very small. made me feel almost claustrophobic.

the engine idle is anything but smooth. more lopey than my cl-s w/ the UR crank pulley.

they ride rough as hell. my car slammed on teins and 18's rides better than a stock z.

it's a raw sports car. cl-s is a near luxury sport coupe. most people understand this by now.

I love the 350z but its tiny and without a sunroof it feels even smaller.

Main thing that turned me off was the stiff ride, was bouncy as fawk but i hear they fixed that.

It is a true sports car and i dont think i would be able to drive one everyday.

Im getting old, i enjoy a softer ride.

agreed. Nice and fast, but I would never buy one. Looks cramped for me. I'd rather borrow a friend's for a couple of hours. That's about it.

you sound like an old fart. i never had the problems you mention and I take my car on 2.5 hour trips to the beach fairly often. you've hated on the z since your dad bought it just give it a rest already; we get the idea.

Yes i was initally displeased with certain aspects of the car. but it grew on me a little. my opinion may be a little biased because im comparing apples and oranges, and should really compare the z to another car in its class when refering to comfort. its just that im 23 in good shape and hardly ever complain about any physical things. i can sleep on anything and sit on anything and my body can handle it. i just never thought the z would be that uncomfortable to ride...

u guys need to lose weight. It's plenty of room for me. I like how the Z seats actually grip you on turns, CL is comfy and lush. Two different cars.

I use my Z as a daily driver. The inside isn't cramped at all. It's actually pretty large and has more front leg room than my CL. Yes, the lack of a sunroof and fairly high belt-line make it seem slightly more cramped, but it's nothing like an S2000 from a cramped perspective.

Seatbelt and steering wheel placement are totally fine for me. No issues there. Seat comfort: They are great... yes, not as comfortable as the CLS seats, but again, apples to oranges, but far from uncomfortable.

My engine has a smooth idle. You feel the engine through the shifter, but it's a great direct feel.

The only complaints I have are the rough and bouncy ride, but it's a sports car, so I don't mind at all, although driving around NYC can be a pain this time of year.

Again, comparing the CLS to Z is completely useless. I am 25. I didn't need to pamper my ass like my CL did. I wanted something fast, loud and raw. That's why I got the Z.

The CL was a great car. Amazing comfort and performance for the $$, but I just wanted something sportier. They are both great cars with totally different purposes.

How did we go from not liking the 350z ride comfort to the drag strip? And why bother posting pics of the car, we know what it is.

No one ever said anything about the 350z being faster.

You 350z guys are weird.

Lou brought up the drag strip... A G35 owner posted pictures.

The Z owners: Zeroday, Synth & myself did nothing of the sort. Only addressed the issues brought up the the poster of this thread. So it's maybe the MB owners / G35 owners that are weird??

yea cause the Z is considered a sports car so lets see which is faster. Ive heard guys doing sub 14's but how many can ??

it would be fun for you acura guys to show the Z guys who in fact drives a sports car and not because the seats are stiffer and the car is bouncier J/K

Actually, a lot of people have been able to run sub 14's stock (13.7-13.9). It's very do-able.

Even Motor Trend got a 13.7 with a stock Z.

Anything can happen, but stock Z vs. stock CL/TL, I'd put my $$ on the Z. Highly modified Z vs. highly modified CL/TL, I'd put my $$ on the Z.

I took those pics recently at the AutoRama show here in San Antonio, Texas. It's a blown Vortech Z. over 400 hp. I thought it would be a good time to post the pics, sharp car.

Nah, I have a G35 Sedan, 6MT ....

I won't disagree that the CL is alot more comfy, but...

I've done 2 road trip to Vegas (from San Diego - about 5hrs each way), numerous trips to LA (about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs) and use mine as a daily driver..... Not once have I had a problem w/ being comfy....

well..not only are they different cars but you should also realize that our bodies aren't all structured identically..im sure the z's seating hurts some people but not others

i would also put my money on the z. no competition
