How to fix any body damage?

This past summer my dad did a horrendous attempt at touching the car up with the touch-up paint supplied from Acura; there's plenty of splotches everywhere and I'd like to get it off somewhat painlessly without going to a body shop to dump money into it. I also have a number of body dents on the driver's side, [ I think I counted 8 =/ ] and about 2 on the passenger side as well. Not anything big in size, but they're pretty deep. Like park-beside-an-idiot-then-idiot-opens-door-and-dents-car deep. Most of those came from the previous owner though, I'm looking for a suggestion which can take a weekend or so. Anything at all? Pics'll come later, I'm at school.

paint thinner will take the paint off.

as far as dents and scratches go, you might try paintless dent removal. but there is no easy quick fix. you either have the skills and a shop to work in or you pay big bucks for a pro to fix it.

Don't use paint thinner!

You can remove paint touch blobs up using "Oops" cleaner lightly touched to a shop paper towel, blue, wrapped over a small rubber squeegee. Rub in a circular motion lightly over the paint blob until you are level with the paint. It shouldn't take all the touch up off, but will level it. Then use polishing compound to smooth it, and put on a very light coat of clearcoat touch-up (not a spray).
When dry, polish again then wax.

Dentless paint removal is a great process, then touch up if needed. Try to keep your original paint if possible.

^^ good advise... but try using Q-tips... you really do not want to smear that OOps stuff around, it will chew up the clearcoat.

Best advise... go to a professional body shoppe.

And it helps if you have a wet sander to use after applying the clearcoat.

Can a clearcoat be bought at an auto store or do I have to stroll over to the dealer?

And how about filling the dents with touch up paint? Anyone tried this yet? Only thing I'm concerned about is the paint matching...My shade of PDG is faded.

no matter how hard you try touch up is not gonna match perfectly, there is always going to be a little spot that you will probably be the only one who can see. paintless dent repair is nice but again its not gonna be perfect at certain angles yo will still be able to see a wave in the panel. your best and unfortunatly most expensive option is to take it to a body shop and have them pull the dents and paint the panels
