How does moonroof visor look?

I'm thinking about getting a moonroof visor for my cls after I experienced it at my friend's car. It is quiet and cool, but I don't know how it will look on our cl. Anybody has a picture? or experienced it? I have black CL.

It is the only mod I wished I hadn't done. Once on, it has to stay on FOREVER. It really eats at the paint job. As small as the roof opening is, it decreases it twice as much. Try to do without it if possible.

It's not bad. It does look better on other cars. It does close off most of the open roof which is short already. I never open the roof anyway. Really can't in South FL. Wish it wasn't there.

Dont bother. I also wish I've never put it on. Not only does it eat the paint, but it also leaves a TON of crap underneath the visor when it rains. This mod definitely does more harm than good. Stay away.

Ah, it looks OK. I use the sunroof all the time, so it comes in handy.

As far as tearing up the paint, I put several coats of Liuid Glass on before I installed it and I rinse it out well during & inbetween washes.

I personally couldnt imagine not having that visor, it cuts out so much wind and noise and it even allows me to keep the roof semi-open in rain or snow

only reason I have it, cuz on HW Speeds can leave my sunroof open without all that wind noise.

I had one but took it off, it had etched the paint on my first CLS. I like the cleaner look without it. Makes the sunroof opening seem even tinier. I don't open the windows that often anyway.

Not a big fan of them. They do mess up the paint. And crap get's caught under there. I agree with Fuzzy....it looks better on other cars.
Just do what I do when I have the sun roof opened....turn up the volume on the radio. Works like a charm.

You guys just helped me decide to not get the visor. I love sunroofs and I noticed that the opening on my CL was pretty small, I wouldn't want it to get any smaller. Also on the highway I typically put the air conditioning on anyway.

I don't know about the CL, but I opted for one of these on my 91 Prelude. I concurr with the paint scars, but my biggest complaint was that when you washed the car, the damn thing would attract and hold about a pint of water. Definitely a pain in the ass.

LOL....When I had it, I just made sure I washed my car on an incline.

[FONT=Comic Sans MS]Yeah def lean towards the negatory good buddy, mine had it one when i bought it and before i took it home from the dealership i had them remove it for me. It def takes away from the sleekness of the car and doesnt look liek ti belongs. The other thing is how damaged my roof was from it, i now have an outline of sctaches on my roof from where it used to be. If you like it, thats fine but if ur really lookin for advice i dont think its a good idea.

I just had my CL in for painting today for a clear coat problem. Prior to going to the shop, I took my visor off to see how bad the gasket had marred the paint. Unfortunately, it was pretty bad. I got the shop to buff out the scratches, but you can still see a "ghost" of where is was. I'll either re-install, or pay to get the roof repainted. In addition to the paint damage, the thing is a paint to keep clean.
