How do you remove the flip-down sunglass holder?

How do you remove the flip-down sunglass holder?
I was looking at this the other day and I'm afraid to just pull on it to remove it. Has anyone actually removed this? I know several people have put in V-AFC units, so I'm assuming that you removed the holder to fit the unit properly. If anyone knows the best way to get that out, please let me know. I'm sure it's real easy and I'm just being gunshy, but I don't want to mess things up. Thanks in advance!!
