how do you remove the covers over the 6x9s in the back

how do you remove the covers over the 6x9s in the back

Hi does anyone know how to remove the cover over the back speakers, I tried pulling on them and they didnt come off, dont want to pull to hard and break something, are there clips or screws on them

dude its a combination of screws and locking tabs..there are 2 screws that hold them in place and then you pull towards the front of the car. I took of the grills with the whole rear deck off so it was easy I dont know if you can reach the screws from the bottom. If you can then unscrew and try to pull the grill back toward the rear seat without hitting the seats of course.

Yeah, there's two screws for each speaker that you have to unscrew from the trunk. Then try to slide the grills forward.

As lou indicated, you really want to pull the whole rear deck off. This involves removing the back seat and some trim. But this is the right way to get to the rear speakers. If you know what you are doing, you can get everything out in 15 minutes or less. It took me about 1/2 hour the first time because I was being really careful and wanted to be sure I was doing it correctly.

another ? , there is another wire and some clips that are attached to the speakers and one wire that runs to the bottom of the speaker and is attached by a screw- is that for the voice of the navi, and of I change the speaker will I loss the voice
