There are 2 screws inside the armrest.. Take them out. Wiggle it around til the wood pieces get loose. Lift those up and towards the back. there will be 2 more screws that connect the armest to the rest of the center console.. You will see them once the wood trim is off...

Ummm ... dont wiggle, you will break the 2 tabs in the front.

- Remove the woodtrim pieces by opening the console top, use small flat head screw driver to pry the trim piece up. Lift them off.

- Remove 2 bolts under the small carpet piece in the console.
- Remove 4 screws in the front.
- Pull the console back (toward the back seats) a little to get the tabs out.
- Disconnect the power outlet connector.

I dont know if the 03 is any diff. from the 01-02.

Thanks guys - it was quite easy after knowing where the screws go and what slips on/off and what does not slip on/off!

There is a harness near the parking brake which connects everything including the seat-heater buttons (they are in that portion of the console in the 2003's).

BTW, my car doesn't have wood!

Hey BlueCLS6 - I found a good place to splice off for the boost-guage - stays 'live' during cranking, yet turns off when switched off.
