So, whats the right protocol here?

I mean whaddaya do? try and make eye contact? hand signals? flashing lights? revving engines? cat and mouse? little bumper to bumper nudges? hold up a sign saying <font color=blue>"eat me" </font>?

keep in mind .. we've got two very different scenarious here, a) slow/stopped traffic (like a light or a stop sign) b) on a freeway

I'm interested in both cuz I have horrible luck pickin fights err... races

no .. no word yet. the cop investigating my case was sick all last week ... I left her a dozen messages tryin to followup hoping she'd check em. Well she got back monday and called me and was a total biatch tellin me how SHE would call me when she knew something.

The bad news : I cant proceed with any legal action till she closes the case. And with the week -- 10 day delay, most people (potential witnesses) wouldve long forgotten about the details
The good news : I'm back up on my feet this week .. surfin ... err, working.

Glad you're ok.

Revving your engine is a good one, lurching and falling back works as well as the head nod. Inching forward at a light has also been known to work.

Glad you are feeling better.

Sometimes you just know it. There are lots of people itching to race the CLs, namely our BMW, Lexus, and other 6-cyl co-drivers. A lot of times I have to wait to see if they launch, then I have to catch up and try to pass.

Clearly half of the time, a race begins after some jockying for position and a little bit of cat and mouse prior to coming to a side-by-side halt at a stop light or stop sign.

1.If someone waits for you at a stop sign, for you to pull up along side in the lane next to them, the race is on.
2.If someone quickly changes lanes to allow you to pull up next to them (instead of staying behind them) at a stop light, the race is definitely on.

If i see someone on the highway, I'd speed up next to them, look over. They usually look back, jerk ahead a bit and if they gas it to catch up to you then, let's get it on...
