How do I change a Xenon Bulb??

No one really answered my question in my other post, so Mods please do not delete??

I have no Idea on how I change a XENON bulb?? Are they replaceable whn they burn out??

I have never had XENON light before so i am new to this, please let me know, and do I need to remove the entire headlight housing to replace the bulb??

And do i need to remove the front bumper cover to remove the Headlight housing??

Just change it like a normal bulb.

Get a small flathead, unscrew the cap. Next there will be a metal clip you need to unclip. Twist the bulb and it will come out.

The only thing... the only thing is taking off the cover for the bulb. It has some kind of security screw in it. But like o2 said, a small (tiny) flathead screwdriver will work. That's what I used when I did my headlight mod and if worked fine.

What about types of bulbs? Going to the dealership is good enough? Or are they other types of xeons that one should be looking at? Just for some future notes.

Types of bulbs? As in brand or color?

bulb type - D2R STOCK-4300k

Unfrotunatly buying 1 bulb will nto always match your existing bulb. You are better off buying both which will set you out mroe than $200 bucks.

but on the cap theres a sticker that says do not remove because of high voltage??? Should I disconnect the battery before doing so??

So I do not need to remove my headlight housing?

I didn't disconnect my battery, I just didn't touch the wires when I was pulling it away from the bulb. In your case, I would because some idiot might think its funny and turn on your light switch while your working on it. (anyone know if there is a capacitor held in the charge after power is disconnected?)

no, you don't need to take out the housing. Just pull out the stuff directly behind the cap. It took me about an hour because I didn't know what I was doing and I couldn't find the right tools.
