How come a CAI varies in extra HP??

how can u tell how much extra HP u got under the hood??? besides dyno'ing?? a CAI is, well, a CAI...for instance, if all of u guys with AEM CAI's dyno'ed your cars, u'd prob see a variance of a few HP...what's the reason?? same tube, same filter, same engine, right??

Even though Honda is very consistent with the quality of it's products, It's virtually impossible to produce any two products that are exactly the same. All engines in all manufacturers from Kia to Bentley have differences. small imperfections that cause small power differences in what should be identical engines. Therein lies the purpose of balancing and blueprinting, to completely disassemble and make every piece of your engine as close to perfect as possible. to do that is just completely out of budget for any manufacturer to do.

Oh yeah, temp, air pressure, humidity, etc. will do it to

I think it all depends on how much time was devoted to the installation of the CAI. I hear Amir got about 50HP from his CAI.
