18,850 since March and tread is rapidly wearing. Tires hook up a little better now with the Konis so I can probably stand them for another 3000-5000 more miles.

I am starting to get a few paint chips here and there. What are you guys doing to prevent from rusting. Any tips or tricks?

Life is good with the 6spd at 7k miles. Love the car. Just need more power (and money).

6,700 miles since late July. No problems to report. A few minor chips in the front end ( ). Not much I can do to avoid that, because for some reason the State of Illinois doesn't recognize my claim that I actually do own the road. Oh well.....

Smitty, If you keep your CLS in the garage I might have a chance to catch up mileage-wise

I've got 3200 miles on the clock (Since Oct.), but the CLS is my daily driver. I do drive my t-bird on bad snow days, nothing like RWD in the snow

going good so far...lets see...16k since end of may ditched stock tires and got new soft grippy ones...and they are...ummm dead So the next set I am about to get will not be as soft (cant shell out that kind of money all the time) OTher than a few uncontrolable scratches and knicks it is all running good. Except for my actuator problem in the verry beginning and the damn rattles its all gravy!!!

Yeah, I have a few chips - the paint really is crap. Oh yeah, had the car since late July. My dog just loves going for rides in the car - she is the real judge. The backseat is strictly for her.

circa 8500 miles; picked up mid April 2002.
Overall, car is comfortable and drives very well. I love the control of the six speed and the pull of the engine. I'm quite happy. It fits its definition of a luxury-sports hybrid well. I'd buy it again and recommend it to friends.

    6-speeder

Let's see... about 6.5K since July. Been on a few long trips... including Vegas, Big Bear (skiing), etc.

Car doesn't idle quite right and throws a DTC for P0172 (running too rich). I am fed up with this and have ordered the Comptech replacement FPR to finally solve this problem!! I am going to return my Vortech (12:1) FMU because that POS doesn't work right (at least at 0psi).

Other than that... no major issues. Runs great under WOT. I've noticed that its gotten faster with some mileage. It breaks the tires loose about 80% of the time from 5.5K to 7.2K when flooring in 1st.

I noticed some oil droppings over the weekend and subsequently jacked the car up and inspected it. I couldn't find a damn thing. I had just done an oil-change and there seemed to be some residue near the oil-filter... so its probably that. I checked this morning and there is nothing. That was a scare though!

Going to drill/weld a nipple into the oil-pan this weekend for the turbo drain-tube. Also install a tee near the sending unit for the turbo oil-feed.

I have to relocate the line to the boost guage. Right now I tee off the line to the EVAP and everytime that solenoid opens and pulses... I get gyrations in vaccum! It's pretty trippy. Happy to say the car reads about 27 mmHg vacuum while engine-braking... sign of a healthy motor.

The car should be turbocharged by the weekend of 25th... so I will let you folks know how that turns out.

Couple of squeaks here and there... which are annoying but I'll try to fix all that once the turbo project is completed.

    That's all folks!

14450 miles. A few chips like the rest, but otherwise, I LOVE my 6-Speed CLS. My tires are showing normal wear. Im waiting till April or May either way to get me some stickies.

Hmmm, how should I say this? Only 148 miles on it and in storage until April timeframe. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 50 miles (from Dealer to home and to storage).

I read the board daily seeing it's my only way to feel the excitement of owning a CL-S 6SP!

Only 4800 miles and had it Aug. 1st. Paint kinda sucks on the hood...trunk has mega swirls (probably due to dealer installation of spoiler)...rest of car swirl-free...hood of car has some unevenness in color...fixed a rattle coming from grill...adjusted parking brake...realigned wheels once for a right pull...fixed driver side air vent since it was loose...rear bumper realigned and scratches were repainted...small dings on trunk still (very slight)...

Car is still stock and went through 1 oil change. Other than that, car runs great. City mileage is right at 20. Not much highway driving yet.

I’m at 8,500-miles right now and March 15th will be a year for me.
So far my mileage is right on track for about 10-11K a year.

No major problems as of yet except for the E-Brake handle that requires way too much adjusting.
The only dealer visits have been for the 3,750 and 7,500-mile services.

The 1st to 2nd “grind” that others are experiencing is only present on my car when it is BONE COLD and I don’t have my foot 100% to the floor.
I’m expecting this to go away come springtime.

My 18” Falken Azinis tires are wearing a bit faster then I expected.
I pulled them off for the winter with just over 7,000-miles and they’re about 50% gone.
I should get the summer out of them and they’ll need to be replaced in the spring of 2004.

I’ve got miscellaneous stone chips like everyone else, but I don’t blame Acura for this.
I blame all the TREE HUGGERS that require automotive paint to be water based and as safe as drinking a can of Coke.

    I’ve said it before…. I LOVE THIS CAR !!!!!
The MODS I have done enhance both the performance and visuals of the car to what I want.
I may do some tweaks to the audio system this summer. Otherwise I’m done for now.

I was wondering about this, I was actually planning on a similiar topic later this week. But ah...here goes...
...and going for the most mileage on a 2003 CL-S 6spd is:

    Since May 17, 2002
    24, 000 miles
    scheduled my fourth oil change
the rear view mirror came lose from the ball joint on the windshield, that was fixed for free by the dealer..
I have some windnoice when I'm above 85mpg coming from my window...that will be fixed on the 31st.
I feel the brakes are stating to get warped...I was out driving through some down home twisties one lunch break when no one else was on the road, when the car started to shake while braking...those will be fixed on the 31st.

I'm staring in my dealer's television commercial...which is coming out this week, and is also paying for my new brakes...

Other than that, the car needs tinted windows, and that nice little SEMA lip spoiler, and I will be happier than a horsefly at a ghetto swimming pool!

I've had nothing but a great time with every mile I have put on my car.

    Later On,

    Ian

But I love it very much anyway

Yeah, when I took the car in (for the second time) to get the rear view replaced, the part that came in had broken...and they told me to come back...well the sales manager ( and personal friend) drove a demo CL over to the service dept. and they took the mirror off of the demo and gave it to me!

    Sweeet....

That's funny that it happened to someone else...

How many of our rear decks squeak like hell too?

Lets get that fixed while the 5spders are worried about their trannies

only 2200 miles since September, I work from home so don't have a commute to work . Car is going in on Thursday for driver side door lock. Damn thing sticks half-way to unlock, I can't even see any of the orange strip anymore. Now anytime I try to unlock the doors, I have to push the unlock button several times to get in, or just go through the passenger door . Anyway, the dealer said he may need it for two days if he has to order a part. WTF, for a door lock?

Yeah they told me that the rear view thing happened to a lot of them...and they were on backorder and thats why it took me for ever to get one. Yeah back deck rattles to but so did my auto.

Going great here. About 5500 miles since July and driving well. In fact I need to rotate immediately as the front tread is down to the wear indicators but the rears are perfect...

I had to head out on Sunday and with upper 30 temps traction was non-existent. Getting on the throttle from about 3500 resulted in spin all the way to redline. Had I shifted hard into 2nd I would have spun throughout that gear. But even rolling on the throttle in 2nd at about 5k can break lose a little.

I'm just wondering what it will be like when the blower goes on...

The problems I have had was the center console would pop up on hard shifts. My steering wheel was also misaligned since purchasing. One trip to the dealer solved both, well mostly. The steering wheel could still use a little adjustment. I'll wait until something else comes up to get this down.

I also had my rear view mirror replaced. All else is ok. The car has about 13,500 miles. March will be a year. Just a bit of advice. I have a parking lot door ding which I consider Major. I'm afraid if I take it to a body shop they will not be able to match the paint perfectly. should I bother?

Don't you love the way the cur lurches from 6K to 7K? I like the gearing in this car more than any car except for my civic with the Type-R tranny (5spd). Then again that motor had a 10K redline.

March 28th will be a year for me. I love this car and I'm at 8100miles. I've had the console lid fixed, the review mirror fell off and was repaired. Next trip to the dealer will take care or my side vent and my loose parking brake. I have no real complaints except for the lack of money for some serious mods.

It's called a Winter in New England. About 35 inches of snow so far. Sand and Salt all over the roads. I can't stand to see nice cars following Salt trucks spreading "Golf ball" size salt over over them!

So, to combat this, I drive my winter unit. Not as fun to drive but it does the job.

I absolutely LOVE this car! Mileage in sig... unfortunately I live in L.A. and can't stand driving in traffic so usually I roll the Accord. The CL is a dream on road trips though. Just got my Comptech Springs on Sunday, can't wait to install them! Headers are also on the way!!
