How about a Comptech supercharger on the 3.5L CL?

How about a Comptech supercharger on the 3.5L CL?

that better at least pull sub 14's...

Well I think it was written before that the 3.5CL Gen I could pull a 14 flat.. so if you added a supercharger on that engine (I am thinking at least an extra 50hp on top of 315) that would get you under 13.5 for the 1/4 mile. check out this link for a 1/4 mile calculator: http://www.wrenchbox.com/quartmile.html

I'm thinking -- better be light on the throttle. The torque gets pushed up from the stoker AND the supercharing. (Don't believe me, just look in a few car mags...)

Tranmission gears are broken by torque not HP. If someone did this, they better be very soft on the pedal, or I don't think the trany is going to be around long.

But, it's just my opinion, and we all have a set of 4 replacements in our garages -- don't we?
