Honda radio security feature question

I have a friend who bought a used Accord from a Ford dealer and the OEM radio does not work as you need a code to operate it just like our cars. What should he do? Owners manual has nothing on it and the dealership is of no help. Any imput? thanks.

Take the car to a Honda/Acura dealership with proof of ownership and they can decipher the pin code from the VIN.
Don’t bother to call because they might think it’s stolen.

Thanks, He just called the dealer and they advised him to bring it in. I guess they just want proof that he is the actual owner.
