Homelink problems

ok - so the little red light does not even flicker when I press any of the buttons on the Homelink panel. It just seemed to stop all of the sudden.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem when I first purchased my CLS. The homelink buttons (none of them) would light up after i shut off my car and restart when I go to work (in the morning)...after driving for about like 10-15 miles, the buttons work. After shutting off the car and returning later on in the day to go home, the buttons don't work again. I've been locked out of the house a few times because of this.

I took it to the dealer (southcenter) and one service personel actually told me to "call a hotline number" when it happens. I'm like, dude, it's defective. It's so obvious. Unfortunately when I drove it to the dealer to show them, it worked. It's a really sporatic thing but after convincing the service personel verbally that it was defective, he quickly ordered another homelink unit for me.

Till this day, I've not had one problem with the homelink. Go to your dealer and order another one. It's under warranty anyway.

Good luck

That right you gotta be extra careful. I have my real remote locked away in my car box just in case Homelink loses it's programming. Can't afford to get locked out.
