Holy HBP Batman !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow !! HBP is on, installed at Comptech today
First, i don't have a scanner so i'll give you the before and after dyno #s the best i can. Also, it was 94 degrees at Dyno time
So, not the best time to dyno but hey, what are you gonna do ?? At least it's apples to apples and both dynos were done on the same equipment within 2 hours and only 1 or 2 degrees difference.
When i had the car dynoed on the same dyno back in the winter, i topped out at 269HP/220TQ, it was in the upper 50s temperature wise. Today, my peak baseline was 248.9 HP/209TQ, so obviously, the extra 38 degrees was a real drag on the #s.
Here's the before and after dyno for the HBP :
2200 RPM HP - 48.2 / 51.0 TQ - 115 / 122
2400 62.3 / 64.8 136 /142
2600 76.7 / 78.1 155 / 158
2800 89.4 / 94.8 168 / 178
3000 102.9 / 109.4 180 / 191
3200 109.8 / 120.6 180 / 198
3400 119.5 / 132.3 185 / 204
3600 129.9 / 143.0 190 / 209
3800 139.9 / 152.4 193 / 211
4000 146.7 / 163.4 193 / 215
4200 158.5 / 175.1 198 / 219
4400 169.3 / 186.5 202 / 223
4600 177.7 / 195.1 203 / 223
4800 185.1 / 204.5 202 / 224
5000 196.9 / 217.8 207 / 229
5200 207.1 / 228.2 209 / 231
5400 214.1 / 237.5 208 / 231
5600 220.3 / 242.9 207 / 228
5800 225.1 / 246.7 204 / 223
6000 233.8 / 257.9 205 / 226
6200 239.7 / 263.4 203 / 223
6400 245.5 / 269.3 201 / 221
6600 248.9 / 275.2 198 / 219
6800 246.9 / 279.6 191 / 216
So, 280 HP to the wheels on a 95 degree day, and a 31 HP peak gain, not bad !! I figure that since the base dyno today was down 20 HP from the previous that if i ran it again in cooler conditions that i'd be right at 300 ( 269 previous HP plus the extra 30 or so from HBP)
It was 102 degrees when i left Comptech. I only jumped on it a couple of times, it perks up quite a bit quicker, YEEHAA !!! Can't wait for cooler weather. Oh yeah, it's running at least 95 octane and i won't go below that !!

AWESOME!!! 300HP to the wheels on an auto is AWESOME!!! If I get a B-pipe and some lighter wheels I should be right there with you. I've got a 8:30 dyno scheduled tomorrow. I've got the 19's on right now but I'll take 2 of the stock 17's so see how much power loss I get. I also want to see the difference with and without the IMRC hooked up.
Now get to the track!

Hey Glen, can you send/post a picture of your V1 hardwired? I never did get a chance to see how you mounted it.
Oh yeah, forgot to say - BE CAREFUL!!! Torque steer becomes a little more pronounced.

13.3@105, seems very possible, flint ran 13.6 on heavy 19's
red riders car is very capable of very low 13's with the right prep and driver, with the hbp i'd run straight 100 octane w/ no chaser at the track

Nah shouldn't be. If the engine has a higher IAT it won't make as much power.

Wow. I didn't think that the HBP would add that much more HP. The 31hp is almost a 12.5% increase. That's pretty significant. Good going Glenn

however, those numbers are excellent and i would be very proud if i could pull off similar. btw, can you give us some other little details such as: what kind of dyno? and did you have the 95 mix in the baseline runs with the stock pulley?

TQ > MPG
I dont know if I agree that the tranny always eats up 25% power even when more hp is being produced. Ltes agree that stock the tranny steals 60hp, so add 60hp to his whp and you get ~350hp at the crank (i'll split the difference between his 280whp dyno and the estimated 300whp @ cooler temps). If the car actually had 400hp it would trap close to 110mph pretty easily, which no SC car has done to my knowledge.

he should trap 105 on a good run.

If you lost 25% while you were stock, you will lose 25% even with a S/C. He hasn't made any improvements to the drivetrain to make it more efficient; he's just added power.

Yeah, the 95 mix was in for both runs. Truly apples to apples as they say.

The SC is great for having lot's of power ALL the time. Maybe you should do both
