That's actually normal. The Comptechs do the same thing too. At first I was wondering how come the sound's only at the low rpm...but later I found out that's pretty normal. I think it has to do with the fact that the Dragers are only axle-back (forgive if I get the terms switched, I always forget which term is what) and to have sound throughout the band, you would need to switch out the piping...that's just my theory.

get an intake. It'll pick up the noise where the exhaust drops off.

That is either your cat or silence resonator...if you remove it...you will make your exhaust sound annoying loud and risk not passing smog...unless you stick it back in for smog and take it out again.

Simple solution - cut-out activated by remote switch on dash.

Get a CAI! It will give you that upper rpm growl you are missing.

If you have a CAI then you should have removed the Resonator during the installation of the CAI....

he's talking about the intake resonator, you're talking about the exhaust resonator/silencer.

maevonee...here's the solution to making ur exhaust sound louder...if you look at where the muffler bolts into the main pipe that runs to the down pipe...you will notice the dragers are like half an inch...maybe less than that bigger than the stock pipes...go get custom pipes made and there you go...louder sound. Either that or just remove the silence resonator.

why would u want it louder? it's jus a bunch of unwanted noise pollution. The key is to make power, not noise.

Ahh, yes... good call... I just saw CAI and resonator in the same sentence (literally) and replied.

I'm with TKO here... why would you want that much noise??

install coffee cans instead of mufflers and can make that fart sound all the way down the street with those flower pots. LOL j/k.. I think if your looking for a deep growl, look into Borla, they make some nice stuff, no application SPECIFICALLY made for our cars, but if you just want the mufflers they got them.

The exhausts are nothing more that translation of engine sounds... after you get higher up in the gears, the engine itself makes less noise... that means the exhausts will make less noise. This is NOT a problem of the HKS dragers or any other exhaust system.

Drive on the highway for a couple of hours, and you will be glad that your exhausts are quiet at higher RPM. Damn Comptechs with resonating tips...

Phock the resonator...Just get a welder to cut a "small" hole in the muffler and you'll get that "deep exhaust note" you've been searching for!

So is the sound throughout the entire rpm band now? Does it get louder as you get higher in the rpms?
