Hit a wall with my 2K3 CL-S

(Pics are a coupple posts down) I was heading home a couple weeks back over an icy bridge. Somehow my rear end came loose; I did a 360 into a cement wall. I'm convinced it was the crap tires they put on from the factory. It ended up being 14k in damage. Insurance is covering of course. I did not have my seat belt on and went between the two front air bags. My head hit the rearview mirror hard enough to smash the front window down to the hood. For anyone who does not wear a seat belt in the CL...put it on. Trust me.

Damn even with the airbags going off it wasn't considered totaled? Doesn't look that bad but i would think w/ $14k worth of damage it would be done for.

Glad to here your ok. Next time BUCKLE UP!

Can you get a 2nd estimate?

Any major drivetrain or suspension damage?

Glad to see you are OK.

I just talked to the guy at the body shop again. He said there is no suspension damage. He's a pretty good guy to work with, and tried to get me the highest amount. He's even replacing the pass side headlight assembly because it's got a tiny scratch. I'll tell ya one thing... I will appreciate my car so much more when I get it back. They are talking 6 weeks for repair. Now I have some junker 95 Grand Prix...that's another story.

Glad you're safe I don't even start the car til my belt is on, it's a good habit i've had for years. I wouldn't blame the tires, ice is bad news and unless you've got studs or chains you never know.
