is it cracked? if not it's probably cheaper to do it outside insurance and just have it resprayed (if you pull and prep it yourself)

To replace my bumper and the items under it not including the impact bar, it can be from 350 to 1k. But thats just replacing the bumper. Not sure if your trunk lid or quarter panel needs work.

If it's just a bumper scrape. A body shop can bondo it smooth & repaint just the bumper for around $300. Under $500 for sure. Makes no sense to go through insurance.\

If you want to save more $ then remove the bumper yourself & bring it to them. Then reinstall.

thx for the replies guys, its just the left bumper scrape. no impact or anything. its about half a foot from top to bottom of the scrape.....

i think im going to just go to a shop instead of claiming insurance as well...unless im repainting my whole car, its not worth it to pay 500 deductible for a corner scrape off my bumper.

I have 1 on my passenger front bumper. I just left it. Some claybar & polish makes it not too noticeable.

update as of 11pm.... i found out who it was ,but they were denying it.... they clearly had my car paint on their rear bumper..... and our car had their green paint.... so i took it to the cops and theyre gonna investigate it and do the measuring etc etc....hopefully they will pay for what they did....

anyways, i purchased some duplicolor...i didnt know they had it for night hawk black pearl..... i was gonna take out teh bumper and redo it myself since i did paint jobs with my 97 frost white integra....i shaved off all the emblems and bondo some holes, primered it, sanded it, then sprayed frost white duplicolor..after it dried i buffed it down a bit and rewaxed...looked good as new....... NOW i hope it will look the same on my cl-s......

I have no deductible on uninsured motorist accidents. I'd check your policy and see if your company does that. (Hit & run is a no motorist so like uninsured)

Also since the police are involved and there is an investigation it's a good idea to get them involved. Clearly this is a no fault event for you so no reason to keep them out. You can still do it yourself if that's the best route later.

Thanks fuzzy02CLS. Ill wait for your pics.

e30cabrio, yea ill find out today how its going with the investigation. i talked to my insurance guy already and they said theyll take care of it and not to worry and to give them the police report number. so ill have to wait it out. if they cant somehow pin the people, ill have to do it myself...i hope not though.
