High milage here.

I'm on 167k miles. I really really want to keep this since this is my first car. I need everyone's opinion on what kind of maintinance wise to keep this 01 cl types running for a long time. I had my timing belt replaced on around 100k miles. I also recently changed my brakes, flushed transmission fluid, ofcourse oil change synthetic every 3k miles. What else should I start considering doing soon? Thanks fellas!

dont flush your tranny fluid, use the 3x3 method.
3k for synthetic oil is way over kill. you can easily go the OEM interval of 7.5k at least.
as long as you keep the fluidds good, then it should be ok. start saving up for the 210K service, its gonna be the same as the 105k.

WHen you pull the plug for your tranny fluid only 3 quarts come out, dlr's charge $100 for this, they drain 3 and fill 3, and our tranny has over 7 quarts of fluid, so you are mixing a clean 3 quarts with a dirty 4 quarts.
3X3 is draing 3 quarts , filling 3 quarts driving through the gears then draining 3 quarts again filling 3 quarts and driving through the gears (dont forget reverse) and doing it one more time so it is a total of 9 quarts changed, some people say 12 quarts but that would be a 3 x 4 (for all u math whizes).
There is alot on this subject if u do a search...
I personally drin 3 and fill 3 every 15k and my 3rd tranny seems to be doing good with 65k on it.
I never chaged the fluid on my first 2 trannies!

next you'll be asking how to get skid marks out of the holes in the leather. i am too scared to change my tranny fluid. it's been almost 100k miles and i fear the magic particles will pour out with the fluid. lol

I have 135k on mine...original trans.... and the car runs awesome! I flushed the trans fluid at 130k and kept up with the oil changes, etc. The dealer did all the reg services before I got it ( I worked at the dealership and took this car in on trade from the original owner) so I knew the car was a "good one" before I got it! Lucky me! Good luck with yours!
HEY...I just had a thought...did anyone ever run the numbers on transmission failures between CL-P and CL-S? My car is a CL-P. I wonder if it makes any difference?

^I don't count, my transmission failed way over the warranty. The TC went around 130,000 miles...can't remember.
