Hid's Dimming
Hid's Dimming
I've noticed my 2001 headlights are rather dim compared to my 2002. 2001 has 30K miles, is this normal?
P.S. - Have had no trouble with the battery/starting, etc.

Light bulbs will start to dim as they start to age. You will start to notice that the color will start changing as time goes by so that is why your newer CL has the better looking bulbs.
Oh and it really depends on how much you use your lights to judge when you will start seeing this happen to your bulbs. Like, car A might have 30k and car B might have 30k, but if car B always drove with the lights on, then car B's lights will die faster than car A. This is if the bulbs are under normal driving conditions...like there is no damage to the bulb physically.

You can go out and buy new HID bulbs, but the same thing will happen again and again. It's just the life of the bulb. You're 4100-4300k HID bulbs are still outputting a lot more light than regular halogen's so unless you have extra money to burn, I would save it until it burns out. My .02
